COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal. A variety of caramel malts impart a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of whole Cascade hops adds zest and aroma. Pale Ale is the first beer we brewed, and continues to be a perennial favorite.

Bottle from Secret Santa. Aroma has some floral notes but maily a sweet malt presence. Dark golden body with pale white head. Good fruity mix with the malt to give it a medium body syrupy feel. Refreshing on the palate good brew.

Bottle (courtesy of jetzler). Sweet orange/pineapple hops and strong malt aroma. Cloudy orange yellow color with small head. Fairly bland flavor - watery malt and light hops. Aroma showed some promise but taste kind of let me down.

Golden color out of the bottle with an off white foamy head. Mild pine hop nose. Buscuity malt backbone with some orange rind, berry sweetness and grassy hops in the finish. Pretty standard pale ale and good with a sandwich.

This is a great PA for people who arent hop addicts. This is the one that my hop junkie friends and I can agree on. A solid brew, even better on tap.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2006 The beer pours a cloudy, deep gold with a light tan, yellowish, mountainous head. The aroma is not too strong - filled mostly with grapefruity and earthy hops. The beer starts off dry and bitter on the front and middle of the tongue. The flavor isn’t nearly as citrusy as the aroma belies. The middle of the tongue finds some malts, hints of dark karo syrup, and more hops - more bitterness from the hops than fresh hop flavor. The back of the tongue finds some malts, some dried fruit, and more bitter hops - with just a hint of grapefruit and citrus. Despite the bitter finish, it doesn’t finish dry, but rather full-bodied with a stinky hoppy after-tastey (the burps taste like pure hop cones). Not a bad pale ale - but not a real stand-out one either (let’s face it - this is a style from which it is hard to stand out - lots to choose from, and generally the same flavors everywhere you go).

(Bottle) I’ve tried this from the bottle and the tap. Definitely try if from the tap if you have the chance. Pours an amber-gold with a lasting white head. Full mouthfeel with a nice hoppy aroma. Very nicely balanced as well.

Boulevard Pale Ale 12 oz bottle purchased at Royal in Kansas City, Missouri. BEST BY 06/25/10 printed on the neck of the bottle. Served in my Free State Willebecher. Pour is a slightly hazed orange golden with a firm two inch off white head. Head is quite lasting, eventually falls with sticky lacing. Aroma is floral citrus hops, along with toasty malt and a mineral earthiness. Fresh and clean. Taste mirrors the nose nicely, starting with the floral and orange fruit citrus sweetness, closely followed and joined by the toasty, slightly resinous malt. The mineral earthiness is in the finish, and helps to dry the beer out nicely. All flavors integrate nicely. Palate is medium to thin bodied, slightly below average carbonation and the dry mineral flinty finish previously mentioned. This is a go to beer for me, and really is quite nice in its simplicity.(7,4,8,4,15 - 3.8)

Great layering on the pour. Nice touch of hops at beginning, slight bitter, brief finish. Nice Pale Ale if you do not like to be overpowered by hops. (7,4,7,4,14 - 3.6)
