COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal. A variety of caramel malts imparts a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of whole Cascade hops adds zest and aroma. Pale Ale is the first beer we brewed, and continues to be a perennial favorite.

Although I am biased, because I live and breathe in KC, this pale ale is much better than its ratings. Accordingly, I donít do the mouthfeel, taste, color thing -- while I certainaly appreciate all attempts to deciper the secret meaning of those fruity smells and frothy heads. Out of hand, this is my go-to beer, year round, and I love it. Didnít love it at first because I was a íseriousí beer drinker. As a ínormalí beer drinker who strives for freshness and awesomeness, it is KCís finest.

Moderately Hazy Orange with a moderate amount of carbonation with tons of lacing. Nose consists of Sweet Citrus & Floral Hops, Yeasts, Caramel, and Malts. Flavor is very Floral Hop and Malt forward followed by Caramel and a slight grassyiness. Aftertaste is a bittersweet citra-hop finish. Body is moderate in weight yet thick and the carbonation starts off strong but levels out to a milder level the more you let it sit. Itís a solid pale ale overall.

Lord help me I love a beer that looks as though you could chew it! One swirl in the tulip and this looks like a frothy caramel toffee. Poured from a 12oz bottle Iím diggin the hallmark bottle conditioned haze and the butterscotch creamy head. This beer succeeds on many levels. The malts are rich and well defined a tad too sweet perhaps but notable caramel and hazelnut flavor. The hop profile is very juicy with a multitude of fruit flavors including apricot, plum and orange. There is also a warm resinous pine throughout. The finish has an interesting sweet/ sourness to it. I think I prefer a pale ale thatís just a bit more dry.. but i would revisit this gladly..Worthy effort! RANT (brief) Donít sleep on Boulevard! Double dang good brewery. I just purchased their 2X6 mixed 12 pack (IPA-Pale Ale- Bock-Wheat-Porter-Amber Ale) at like $13.00 here in Minneapolis. Well crafted beers with variety, at the nice price is always a good thing!

Slightly hazy orange amber with a small head and decent lacing. A light aroma of mostly herbal and floral hops with some malt character. Herbal and floral hops come through in taste with some breadiness from the malt and a bit of citrus. Medium body and carbonation. An adequate pale ale but there are much better examples.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours light amber orange with a large and dense off white head. The nose is a nice mix of malt and hops with a little biscuit, caramel, light stone fruit, and a little grapefruit. The flavor follows suit. Very evenly balanced with the malt taking just a slight lead. Light florals emerged as the beer warmed. Easy drinking and very sessionable; just what a pale ale should be.
