COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal. A variety of caramel malts imparts a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of whole Cascade hops adds zest and aroma. Pale Ale is the first beer we brewed, and continues to be a perennial favorite.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2003 Good bitter hops taste. Beautiful copper color in the glass. Just the right amount of head. Doesn't have a specific character, but overall a good beer if you're having more than one. Wish it was a little heavier.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2010 Rating for draught version. Some sweet, very lightly honeyish and caramel malt aroma with some faint hoppiness. Bright golden in color with a decent head and abundant carbonation. Flavor is also largely malty, some faint toasted bread and sweetness and eventually sees a bit of Cascade hoppiness. Finish is lightly citrusy, hoppy and effervescent. Light to medium bodied and fairly thin on the palate. This beer is so ubiquitous in these parts as to be largely synonymous with American Pale Ale as a style. That’s not entirely a bad thing.

Extremely drinkable at all seasons of the year. Best on tap and not ice-cold. Some would debate the addition of a lemon to the brew, I say adding a slice makes me feel more like a woman.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2006 Draught: This one pours a somewhat darker golden color. Definitely lighter than expected. There is some white head and a bit of lacing. The aroma is a bit on the lighter side also. Some grapefruit hops to the nose. The taste is some grapefruit hops also. A touch bitter, with a somethat lighter body. A decent pale ale. Like their wheat, a little lighter than your standard Pale Ale.

I really enjoy this beer. Maybe its just that I am so relieved to get it at a local bar because the only other options are bud light and miller light. It has a smooth taste, not too bitter, not too sweet. Has a hint of citrus as well. I drink Boulevard about once a week and have always enjoyed every last drink.

Had this in a bar at U of Missouri and it was an easy drink, would get it again, but would not rave about it.

Straight up pale -- nothing special, but decent enough. Light copper color with minimal head. Sweet hoppy aroma. Mild body until aftertaste, when the hoppiness picks up.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2005 Hoppy and light. Tastes sweet, but not too sweet. If you’re in the KC area, enjoy a few of these. Re-Rate 2/28/03- I drink this beer at least once a week, but tonights batch is the best yet. A little more toastiness in the malts. NOW IS THE TIME TO TRY! Any good beer fan should.
