2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 screigh (346) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 17, 2009
Pours a slightly hazed orange color. Thin white head that lasted with some lacing. Very little aroma. Mostly a thin sweet smell. No hops present in the aroma. Thin malt taste but I can get some hop flavor. It has that weird smoked wood (Beechwood Aged) that I taste in Budweiser. It’s not an off-putting taste, just an observation.

I found it too hoppy/bitter. Tastes exactly like a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to me, another overrated overly hoppy pale ale.
Appearance & aroma wise it was good, it is quality, but I think hops and alcohol flavor are far too dominant.

Pour is a nice light amber with a white head. Aroma is of weak hops. Flavor is also pretty weak in the hops department but the malts save this one. Decent but not outstanding.

Nice try, but I did not enjoy Boulevard’s Pale Ale. Tastes kind of like a Mike’s Hard Lemonade. Does not taste like a beer.

On tap at local bar. Slightly cloudy pale yellow with no head. Weak citrus and hop aroma. Watery taste of citrus and malts with mildly zesty finish. palate - did it have one?
My wife liked it and finished it after I had a few swallows.

Holden pour, white head. Hardly any aroma. Flavor is light with only a fruity finish. Pretty bland and light.

12 oz bottle. Best Before 10/02/05. Yellow gold with continual CO2 rising woth a off white, longstanding head. Very thinck lacing. Some hazy. Grainy straw and horsey aromas. Very little hops aroma. Maybe some spice. Estery. Estersy come thru in the flavor also. Bready. Mild hop flavor. Med-full bodied and prickly carb. Flavor does not linger. BLVD Pale Ale used to be so much better before they started brewing for dollars.

On tap: Tasted and smelled very perfumey. Ask the barkeep for a taste, glad I did, cuz it’s not worth the 3.95 you would have to pay...

Bottle, pours copper with a thin off-white head. Mild hop aroma. Malt, citrus hop, and grapefruit flavors. This is just an OK beer, nothing special.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper with a short white head that leaves lots of sticky lacing. Smell is skunk and dirt. Not enough hops in the nose for a pale in my opinion. Taste is dirty citrus the hops come though but it is too much orange and not enough bitter. This was the first pale I ever tasted and it turned me off to the style initially, I recently revisited with more maturity and I still don’t find it to be a good example of the style. Not enough hops aroma or bitterness and too unbalanced toward citrus in the flavor.
