COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our town was once home to a number of small, regional breweries, foremost among them the George Muehlebach Brewing Company. As these brewers disappeared, so too went the full flavored but easy drinking classic American lager. Today, we revive their legacy with Boulevard Pilsner: 100% malt, real hop character, unpasteurized. It’s the taste of tradition.

Bottle at Oklahoma Joe’s. Golden color, smooth malt and hope nose. Crisp flavor with just a touch of bite. Great with the ribs.

A clear golden color with a medium white head that quickly dissipates and leaves hardly any lacing. The aroma is lightly malty, with some hops and what smells like honey. The flavor is dominated by harsh malt taste with a hint of bitterness and yeast. Not bad as pilseners go, but easily the least tasty Boulevard I’ve had.

Bottle provides a thick clear brassy golden pour into a thick, white foamy head that quickly dissipates into sticky melting lacing as carbonated bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass. Aroma of malty buiscuts, grassy hops and peppery spice. Initial flavor of malt, grassy hops, and lightly toasted bread that fades into a yeasty finish.

Bottle... Poured golden amber with a thin, off-white head. Decent grassy hop tones. Foamy, lots of carbonation on the mouthfeel. Biscuity/cracker malts with a crisp, quenching finish.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 6/2/11

Aroma: The nose is grass, pepper, other spices, and some grainy notes
Appearance: The pour is clear and pale golden with a small white head
Flavor: The flavor is fairly clean, malt front with a lingering bitter finish
Palate: The body is fairly light, not particularly crisp, clean enough, with lingering dryness
Overall Impression: I found this to be a decent pils, but not a exceptional example of the style. Still though, it was solid enough to be drinkable, and it had some flavor. This is one I’d drink again in the right situation.

(bottle) pale gold, white head vanishes instantly. Aroma of cereal malt and a bit of grassy hops. Flavor is slightly bready malt and again some grassy European hops.
