3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 vyvvy (2920) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - MAR 21, 2010
Pours golden orange with a small white head. The aroma has clean pils malt with a touch of toast and bit of bread, light spicy hops and a smoothness to it. Medium / light body that is a bit more smooth and hefty than most. There is a touch of a bite at the end due to the spritzy carbonation. The taste begins largely with the aroma traits and is far more malt-forward that my normal likings for a pils, but this is still quite nice. The malt is clean and rich (at least for the style) with just enough toast. The finish has a little hops kiss to it. A very nice beer & another underrated one in my opinion. Blvd is one of the most consistently solid breweries out there.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 troyc (2014) - Oklahoma, USA - MAR 10, 2010
[Bottle] Pours a light golden color with a slight haze to it. Frothy white head. Cereal grains in the aroma with a clean hoppy nose as well. Taste is of light malts, light citrus, grass and clean grains. Better than expected body, but slightly overcarbonated. This was actually pretty good, albeit basic. I didn’t get any off flavors, and it may convince a BMC drinker to pick up a local 6-pack!
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BillKismet (2753) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 8, 2010
Sparkling gold, highly carbonated and topped by a fluffy white head. Clean, almost antiseptic, malt and hop aroma. Rather clean tasting with a slight fresh milled graininess and light tannic sour finish.
3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 corby112 (1904) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 26, 2010
Pours a clear pale golden straw color with very pal golden yellow hues when held to a light source and a two finger frothy, soapy white head that has excellent retention, only slowly settling into a lasting cap. Sporadic chunks of soapy lacing left behind.
Crisp, slightly hoppy aroma with lots of pilsner malt along with hints of biscuit, straw, grass and light fruit. There’s a hint of apple and pear in the nose giving it a slightly sweet presence that balances out the earthy hops.
This beer tastes light and crisp but is fulller bodied that I expected, which is a very welcome surprise. Soft carbonation up front with a nice dry earthy hop presence up front that lingers over the pilsner malt backbone into a sweet, slightly dry finish. This beer is excellently balance wit the perfect amount of dry hoppines, sweet pilsner malt, light crisp apple and pear, straw and glass notes. Another nice offering from Boulevard and an excellent interpretation of the style.

Bottle. Pours an average, frothy white head. Rich, clear, deep yellow body with light orange hues. Head diminishes to a foamy ring. Nice spicy and earthy hop aroma. Lightly floral and reminiscent of summer. Crisp, bready pils malt underneath. Tasty noble hop flavor and more hoppy spice. Some grainy malt accompanies. Body is light-medium, medium bitterness with lively carbonation. A crisp, refreshing finish. Overall a good, easy drinking, everyday pils.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 NobleSquirrel (2671) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 13, 2010
Bottle from Skyingbrian at my StL trip. Pours standar gold pils, light, fluffy head. Nose is apples and grain, a kiss of hops. On taste, it is hugely filled with acetaldehyde, distractingly so. Nice enough body, though lacking in grain and hop character. Meh.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 swanmann (399) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - FEB 8, 2010
From the bottle, this poured clear, bright golden with quickly dissipating off white head. The aroma is slightly corny and earthy with a little hoppyness coming through. Mildly bitter sweet flavor bread crust with some peppery notes coming through. I would say light to medium body with some lively carbonation, finishes medium dry. It’s tasty. Nothing overpowering and a bit heavier than some of the more common pilsners.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 iabeerguy (360) - Iowa, USA - FEB 7, 2010
Bought a six pack at John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Pours a gold color with a nice white head. Aroma of grass and grains. Flavor of hops, not a big pilsner guy but this was a refreshing beer. Easy drinking.
