COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our town was once home to a number of small, regional breweries, foremost among them the George Muehlebach Brewing Company. As these brewers disappeared, so too went the full flavored but easy drinking classic American lager. Today, we revive their legacy with Boulevard Pilsner: 100% malt, real hop character, unpasteurized. It’s the taste of tradition.

Bottled, from Spokane, WA. Clear golden, small head. Bready malt and grass greets me. Mid-dry with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Pleasantly relaxed with hay-like hops and balanced bitterness. Ah, the joy of quality pilseners in the summer!

On tap. A nice gold color and foamy white head with a crisp, almost honey aroma. The flavor is crisp as well, with lots of pilsener malt and a sweet aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from World Beers. Clear light gold pour with a tall white head which fades quickly and leaves minimal lace. Nose is light hops and malt, but very mild. Medium-light body and fairly lively carbonation. Flavor is similarly mild. Finish is short and dry. Unremarkable pilsener from an outstanding brewery.

355ml bottle pours a pale straw color with a 2 finger white head that settles quite quickly to some thin spotty lacing. Aroma is cereal grains with some grassy hops. Taste is modest malty sweetness with a sharp grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Decently balanced beer with a nice quality to it.

Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma is musty pale pilsner. The taste is lightly sweet with a modestly full malt flavor and a slightly herbal earthy hops. Nothing crazy, true to style.

This is a classic example of taking a beer for what it is. As an hoamage to classic American Lager with roots firmly in German/Czech Pilsners this beer is almost perfect. Not much to the nose, beautiful clear gold color, full bodied/mildly hoppy, even somewhat malty (for a pilsner) this beer nails the style while giving us all a reminder what pre-Prohibition lagers were like in the US.

Bottle. Clear pale yellow pour with a small white head that clings pretty well. Aroma is grass, biscuit, and some hops. Thin palate. Taste is grass and hop, pretty mild, and a slight metallic touch. Not loving this one.

Bottle. Pours a glassy yellow with a lively body and a foamy white head. Aroma is malted straw, hay, and a thin ribbon of raspberry. Flavor is dry hay, light floral biscuit, and a touch of wheat honey. Lingering mouthfeel. Pleasant beer; good for a hot day.

12oz bottle 11/25/11 (Jack’s Mountain Home)-45° in tumbler-Pours a medium golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, grains, hops, and grass. Taste of the same with a bit more hops and sweetness. This light bodied brew is done very well. Not my favorite style but this is pretty tasty.
