Our session IPA is copper in color with just enough malt sweetness and body to provide balance to a beer with bold hop flavor and aroma achieved by big charges of Mosaic hops in the brew house. This beer was dry hopped with a blend of Cascade, Amarillo, Centennial, and Citra.

Twelve ounce can from Boulevard summer variety 12 pack purchased at Jeff’s Marathon, tasted on August 7, 2015. Cloudy orange/yellow hue, strong bittersweet nose with lots of grapefruit, taste like the aroma with some resin as well. Pretty easy to drink but some distracting astringency lowers the score significantly.

12 ounce can poured into a pint glass. The beer is a clear copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma is floral, candy, a little grassy. Taste is moderately bitter. Some sweetness in the taste. Medium body and medium carbonation.

35.5 cl can @ hotel room, San Marcos. BBE 01.09.2015. Aroma has pineapple juice and minerals. Flavour has minerals, sone fruits and pineapples. Rather watery and simple. Also too dry.

355 ml can. Enjoyed at San Marcos, CA. Pours a golden colour with a foamy head. Aroma of citrus, graininess and a bit of biscuit. Flavour of biscuit malts, citrus, some floral notes and harsh herbal notes. Light bodied. Quite malty.

355 ml can @ hotel room, San Marcos.
Pours clear golden color with a large head. Mandarin on the nose, mild herbal tones, grassy hops and yeast. Messy fruit flavor, some hay, herbal notes and pale malts. There’s no refreshing effect at all.

12 ounce bottle. Nice citrus malt. Malt is not too heavy. Not a big hop forward session IPA, but a tasty easy to drink one.

Can @ home. Clear golden orange pour with a tall, dense, sticky, white head. Smells of fresh orange and grapefruit. Zesty, floral, and bready. Nice hints of pine as well. Flavor and lightly bitter. Plenty of juicy, zesty citrus and bright floral hops. Good malt character and body. Crushable.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear straw body. The aroma is bread and grains. The taste has a nice lemon bitterness throughout. The texture is crisp. It has great flavor.

12 OZ. can into a chalice. best by 10/09/2015 A: Pours very heady hazy orange gold. 2" of beige foam lingers a good while. Actually dogged retention leaving good lace around the glass. Little to no visible carbonation. S: Light and piney with just a whiff of sweet citrus. Not much else to report. T: Also piney with slightly less citrus bite. Light flavor includes a slight stiff maltiness. Not complex or honestly even interesting. M: Light body with a fair amount of carbonation on the tongue. Average. O: Had high hopes based on others’ but ultimately disappointed. I STILL have not had a BLVD beer that I particularly like. For $10/6, there are many better SIPAs to choose from.
