Strong piney aroma with strong piney hops flavor that is slightly astringent. The subtle malt backbone with the aromatic hop flavor makes this a perfect light and refreshing summer session beer.

Poured from draft: The aroma on this beer presents a burst of fruity hops. The balance between the malt and hops of this beer is fantastic and a perfect combination. I get hints of biscuity notes breaking through the hop notes. Light to medium bodied on the mouthfeel. Pop Up IPA is an extremely approachable session ale with loads of flavor and characteristics. I am very impressed with this beer & the direction this brewery is headed in.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a lightly hazy golden with a large foamy white head that left sticky lacing. Aroma of fresh squeezed oranges, grapes, pineapple and loads of other great fruity and citrusy notes. Flavor of citrus, floral hops and bready malt. Moderate hop bitterness. Nice and dry with a cereal grain maltiness. Drink it fresh and pour it into a glass to fully experience the aroma.

A hazy, straw colored beer with a medium white head. The aroma is wonderful, lots of tropical fruit and light malt. The flavor is likewise fruity with a fair dose of bitter resin.

Pours a heady, foamy, lacy, lightly hazed dark yellow/gold. Nice hoppy aroma, citrus, fruit, floral, juicyness, tropical. Taste is full body, malty bready, good citrus fruit hop flavor. Maybe best 4% session ipa ive had. This would be really great outdoors though, I can see it being in a can if it already isnt. Tastey and refreshingly hoppy.

12 oz bottle purchased at Gomers South in Kansas City, Missouri. Bottled on 3207 (July 26th, 2013). The pour is softly hazed golden yellow with a one inch white head that is firm, eventually falls with nice lace. The aroma is a bunch of fresh citrus - orange, grapefruit, soft peach, along with a nice grassy character and a cereal grain malt background. The taste matches the nose, with a nice blend of the orange, grapefruit and straw hop on top of the cereal grain malt. Nice floral character comes out as the beer warms. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and crisp clear dry finish. Boulevard nailed the style on this one; lively, hoppy, fresh and super easy drinking. Nice one.

These session IPAs seem to be the new big thing and Blvd has one of the best. Lightly bitter, extremely well balanced.

12 oz. bottle. My current favorite style. Pours a bright golden pour with a big white head. Aroma of bright citrus and pine hops. Touches of melon and pineapple, some maraschino cherry. Flavor is just nice, piney and melon hops. Thin bodied, lively carbonation. This is just awesome.
