Our session IPA is copper in color with just enough malt sweetness and body to provide balance to a beer with bold hop flavor and aroma achieved by big charges of Mosaic hops in the brew house. This beer was dry hopped with a blend of Cascade, Amarillo, Centennial, and Citra.

6/15/14. 12oz bottle from Happy’s. Just noticed the bottle says best by 6/13/14. Shoot, missed it by a couple of days. Orange pour with a decent khaki head that sticks and laces well. Floral and citrus hop aroma, mild graininess. Light bitterness, some citrus pops, touches of pale graininess. Not bad.

Rated on 6-30-2015 (Bottle and labeled best by 08/27/15) This beer’s appearance is a small white head with a short retention, hazy pale yellow body, fast rising carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, tropical fruits and malty. The flavor of this IPA is moderately bitter, citrus and pine hops, spicy, tropical fruits, and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A very quaffable and easy drinking IPA.

Dig this one. Session IPAs are all about showcasign the hop. This does that, and the hop choices are solid. Fruity and bright. light on the palate.

Pours a clear classic golden color with an ample, snow white head. Clean citrus and pineapple nose. Wet mouthfeel with some light scrubbiness. Flavor follows the nose pretty faithfully. Some bitterness and a bit of a stale quality at the finish.

Draft at Bronx Ale House. Slightly funky with muted hop action. Some yeast, orange peel, and bread in the flavor. The aroma is pleasant, but overall this didn’t win me over.

A mild IPA with lower alcohol and not a strong bite. It does feel like a session IPA. Light aroma of pine, citrus, lemon, hops. Body is sweet.

12 oz. can. Pours a hazy orange with a frothy white head that settles to a film and collar. Aroma has soft citrus sweet spruce and light caramel malt. Taste is similar with a nice bitterness that not over the top. Palate is clean crisp with good carbonation.

Bottle to pint glass . Pours golden reddish, clear, smallish white head. You would think this type of beer should be served quite cold, but the aroma is weak and improves significantly as it warms. Then there is some honey and dough and spruce. Taste is very light toasty and hops. Pretty thin mouthfeel. OK for being a session.

Can from Julio’s Light copper with dense head and lace. Citrus aroma with a little spice and some dishwater or something. (Glass is clean and lace is perfect.) Mild peachy melony sweetness with mild toasted nuts and herb and citrus bitterness. Fairly dry light slightly watery and lively carbo. Pretty good but not up with the best session IPAs (like Green Flash Citra Session, Easy Jack, or Pinner, for example).
