Malty, orange, wheat, f me where did the saison go?! Lots of caramel and orange. Slight hop note in the back end. It’s not bat but it suprises me that this is not more like a realy saison.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 5000 (3998) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle:   Vibrant straw, very strong carbonation, HUGE rocky white head, spotty lacing.   Carbonation
on this beer is just silly, its super strong and constant.   Floral aroma, slightly barnish, a little bit of
hay/straw.   Somewhat bright on the tongue, barnish aspects show up on the back end.   Body and mouthfeel are
moderate.   Not as floral as most examples, but decent enough.   Simple, yet true.
4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 SPDickerman (323) - Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2011
Pours clear golden with a large, sudsy white head. Smells bready, yeasty, strong earthy tones, some hoppiness and a bit of malt. Tastes damn near perfect; earthy, bitter, fruity and sweet, a bit spicy. Light-bodied with a wet texture and active mouth-carbonation, Boulevard Saison finishes with a touch of funk.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Drake (4803) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - OCT 19, 2011
C&C 750 mL bottle, Batch S8228, from Woodman’s West Madison. Pours an amber color with a ton of visible carbonation. Large frothy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of yeast, bread, stone fruits and caramel. The taste is apricots, dates, other stone fruits, caramel, bread and an herbal hop finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Quite tasty.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dwaggs2 (1124) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - SEP 23, 2011
Bottle. Might be an older bottle. Still poured a hazy yellow color with a smaller white head. Aroma was citrus, lemon and grapefruit. Aroma was lemon zest, pepper, and citrus. Tangy aftertaste. Still a good beer no matter how old it is.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jmagnus87 (520) - Carbondale, Illinois, USA - AUG 31, 2011
750ml corked from Pick’s Liquors. Poured into a snifter. Batch 8109. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with lots of carbonation and not much head. Strong aroma of citrus, wheat and slight hop spice. Light sweet, light sour and light bitter. Has a slight hop spice and a nice citrus tang. Light bodied with a thin slick texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, its not too bad for a saison (which is not my favorite style). Probably the worst of the smokestack series, but still not that bad.

Ar: Spicy flavors dominate the aroma, a bit of ginger and some orange zest.
Ap: Very hazy golden orange pour with a big frothy head that sticks around quite a while. Great lace on this one as well.
T: Lightly sweet with some mild cinnamon and ginger flavors. Very nice tart finish.
P: Medium, slightly sticky body with very assertive carbonation.
O: Excellent beer. Quite refreshing as well.
