COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The French-speaking region of southern Belgium is the birthplace of saison, the love child of a centuries-old tradition of small rural "farmhouse" breweries, where native yeasts and time-honored recipes combined to produce some of the world’s most distinctive beers. As a tribute to this artisanal institution, we offer our own brisk, unruly Saison. Truly an artful balancing act, it is both rustic and subtle, robust yet effervescent, spicy and fruity.

bottle. Pours a clear, faded yellow with a nice, white head. Nose is of yeast and funky barnyard. Taste is of yeast, lemon and spice. Mouthfeel is thin and dry with lots of carbonation. OK, but not great.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a huge pillowy white head. Aroma is lemon zest, leather, light fruit, and bready malts. Taste is much the same; very balanced between the Saison musty funk, and lemon citrus.

Thanks for sharing bro! Pours a hazy pale yellow color with thick frothy head that fades quickly . Aroma is funky, lemony, bready and overall, great smelling. Taste is spicy fruit notes, some yeast funkiness, lemon, sweet bread and light malt. Finishes smooth with a crisp mouthfeel. Great beer.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head. Aroma is skunked, unfortunately, with a touch of sweet malts still present. Flavor of sweet fruits and citrus initial with a bready, dry finish. Tastes great even though the aroma is skunked. Nice saison! 7/4/8/4/15 (3.8/5)

Bottle, thanks to tytoanderso. Aroma quite peppery with hints of clove over big bready malt, some orange notes, almost oily, and some minty notes as well. Flavor pretty basic with bready malt and light spice accents, but still quite enjoyable. Finishes on some slightly hot spice notes (not hot alcoholic, just the spice). Medium dry for a saison. Quite tasty.

Bottle shared by either gregc or knifestyles from BA at Captain Lawrence during the release of the newest vintage of the St. Vincent’s Dubbel. Pours a hazy straw color with a thick white head. Spicy citrus notes on the nose. Medium bodied, lightly sweet. Finish is a little weak, but still dry and crisp. The best part of this? It tastes exactly like the Saison Brett, only without the Brett… The worst part? It tastes exactly like the Saison Brett, only without the Brett. Still tasty, but doesn’t come close to the excellence of it with Brett.

Pours hazy yellow with a large off white head. Really smooth beer with a nice body. Light citrus notes, some spice, and just a touch of hops. Well done.

Orange golden pour with white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt, spice, light citrus and honey notes. some pinapple. Flavor is light lemon, pepper, spice. Yeast, apples, and a bit of wheat. Lots of carbonation, nice mouthfeel and a touch of wheat in the finish. Not as good as saison-brett, but still awesome.
