COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The French-speaking region of southern Belgium is the birthplace of saison, the love child of a centuries-old tradition of small rural "farmhouse" breweries, where native yeasts and time-honored recipes combined to produce some of the world’s most distinctive beers. As a tribute to this artisanal institution, we offer our own brisk, unruly Saison. Truly an artful balancing act, it is both rustic and subtle, robust yet effervescent, spicy and fruity.

Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a nice, foamy white head that produced spotty lacing. The aroma was light Belgian yeast over some citrus. The flavor was yeasty, bread, lemon and spice. The mouthfeel was better than I expected, almost creamy. A nice beer.

750ml thanks to someone at bitbuckets tasting. Cloudy golden. Really nice mix of citrus, spice and belgian yeast. Bready malts throughout. A bit of alcohol comes through. Nice.

Bottle. Bright, opaque pour with a thick, frothy white head. Lot of yeast and spice in the aroma and flavor.

750 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow-gold color with a big fluffy white head that leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength with spices(mostly white pepper), pears and lavender. The taste is complex with sweet fruits, esters, spices and a bit of funk. The mouthfeel is full and malty with lively carbonation. The finish is long and very dry. Overall: A very enjoyable saison. Recommended.

Golden yellow with a white head, slightly cloudy with fresh spicy aromas. Flavor is bitter, some fruity notes, slighty waxy, citrus peel. Well carbonated and a solid palate. Pretty good.

750ml bottle. Very carbonated, not a gusher but a lot of foam in the glass. Poured a medium golden, with a BIG white fluffy head. Smell of lemons, very acidic aroma. Light flavor, a little citrus, not too bad.

this reminds me slightly of orval--this is rather dry, with citrus peel, and creamy, with the slightest hint of banana; but it could be a lot more... it wants to be more acidic, more funky; it would be great if it went the lambic route... otherwise, it is a damn good brew.

Not my kind of saison. I was surprised, really. I broke out a big bottle of this for a picnic with a neighbor. I was going to give him something different to try (I don’t think he buys much non-mainstream beer) but the flavor profile was so routine. The hops are pronounced and they give it a dry tackiness, and there’s a strong yeast dimension, but the fruitiness was subdued, there was no funkiness (I guess Fantome is too high of a standard to set), and much of the effect to be not far beyond a summer ale. Didn’t impress me.
