3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 vyvvy (2920) - Florissant, USA - MAY 28, 2006
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2008 Bottle at St. Louis Microfest - another test batch beer from Boulevard. Poured slightly hazy yellow with a pillowy head. Aroma had lightly roated wheat and spices - a bit like Zon with pepper added. The beer is medium bodied with carbonation bordering between soft and fizzy. Taste is peppery, dry and tart - there is some dry lemon, grainy malts and light spicy hops in there as well. One of the better American interpretations of the style. I hope Boulevard puts this one into production - I would buy quite a bit of this. (7/4/7/3/15 - 3.6) P B Rerate Notes: /B Notes from the bottle. Pours hazy golden / orange with a large white head. The aroma has graininess, fruit esters, spice and Belgium yeast. Medium crisp grainy body with a generous amount of prickly carbonation. The flavor starts with aroma traits with the graininess and spice up front. The finish is crisp and refreshing with lingering earthiness from he malt and and yeast. Very enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 thomas15 (294) - Missouri, USA - MAY 5, 2012
This was one of my favorite beers before i even realized a difference in micro brew and macro brew. i gravitated towards this one out of the original from day one. was very delicious and drinkable. if it was a brought back as 6 pacl i would buy a kegerator. i want to be next to this beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mcberko (2465) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 4, 2012
750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, hay and wet outdoors. Flavour of Belgian yeast, dry apples / pears, hay, crackery malt, and slight sweetness. Not too full-bodied, but quite refreshing. Way inferior to Saison Brett.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ads135 (514) - Lawrence, USA - MAR 25, 2012
I hadn’t seen this beer in awhile, but I had no idea it was retired. I suppose the success of the Tank 7 might be responsible. A very decent saison, better than the brett, but not as good as Tank 7. Has the farmhouse funk and pungent sweetness, but not the tartness of its little cousin. Still, I’m gonna miss ya!
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 portableparty (1188) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAR 5, 2012
Bottle to my Duvel glass. Pours golden clear with a white fluffy sudsy head that slowly fades to a thick film and shows lively carbonation. Aroma is mellow light fruity yeast and white pepper and crust. Taste is drying light apple and fruitiness with noticeable yeast and cracker with a spice like pepper and a little musty. Palate is thin and fizzy with a chalky and drying finish. Not a bad brew, but may be past its prime.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 HopHead7 (28) - - FEB 28, 2012
Aroma is slightly floral and hay. Pours golden with a pretty frothy head. Very effervescent. Flavor has a bit of barnyard, grassy floral, and little bit of light fruit and spice. Slight funk on the finish. Enjoyed this.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 kbutler1 (1115) - Minnesota, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark amber color with a nice white head. Lots of orange in the nose along with some vanilla. Slight vegetable. Medium mouthfeel. Malty, orange, wheat, f me where did the saison go?! Lots of caramel and orange. Slight hop note in the back end. It’s not bat but it suprises me that this is not more like a realy saison.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 tastybeer (1045) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 27, 2011
Bottle. Pour is gold with a massive white head, good retention/lace. Aroma of grassy/floral hops, fruity esters, hay, bread. Taste is lightly bitter, floral/grassy hops, light sweetness. Palate is dry, soft, oily, lightly bitter finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 5000 (4104) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle:   Vibrant straw, very strong carbonation, HUGE rocky white head, spotty lacing.   Carbonation
on this beer is just silly, its super strong and constant.   Floral aroma, slightly barnish, a little bit of
hay/straw.   Somewhat bright on the tongue, barnish aspects show up on the back end.   Body and mouthfeel are
moderate.   Not as floral as most examples, but decent enough.   Simple, yet true.
4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 SPDickerman (424) - Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2011
Pours clear golden with a large, sudsy white head. Smells bready, yeasty, strong earthy tones, some hoppiness and a bit of malt. Tastes damn near perfect; earthy, bitter, fruity and sweet, a bit spicy. Light-bodied with a wet texture and active mouth-carbonation, Boulevard Saison finishes with a touch of funk.
