Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

Bottle. Medium body, medium bitterness. Love the dry hops balanced with fruit, malt and sugar. It’s very drinkable.

12oz bottle poured into a stemmed tulip glass on 10-May-2016. Hazy golden amber colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of grain, pine and citrus. Medium body and carbonation. Light hoppy bitterness up front followed by a sweet tropical fruit flavour. Mango, orange and grapefruit with a little caramel. Dry finish. Not bad but pretty average.

355 ml bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured a cloudy amber with an 3 finger off white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma: grapefruit, orange peels, citrus, mango. Taste: Continuation of the aroma with additional notes of caramel, herbs, medium bitterness, grass, lemon peels. Somewhat watery mouthfeel. Light body with a short spicy bitter finish. Ok, but nothing special about this IPA.

Good aroma. Citrus tangs. Good colour a little cloudy and a smack in the face first taste. Disappears quickly to a smooth finish

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Draft @ Huppel. Pours a clear golden beer with a big white bubbly head on top. Aroma is rather soapy, floral and citrussy with some fresh grass. Flavor is very bitter, loads of hop oil and citrus notes, again some air freshener sensation. A bit weird, very refreshing and very crisp. Exactly as I like my IPA’s Could be a bit more complex in the palate though.
