COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

Bottle.

A fridge temp, I was so-so on this one. as it warms to something more like British pub temps, it comes into its own. Very nicely balanced, plenty malt-forward without overt sweetness, grassy and even a bit earthy instead of an over-the-top pine and citrus blast. Not a big ass-kicking IPA, but one that is growing on me for drinkability.

12 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy golden (more cloudy than the Boulevard wheat ale I had before this) with nice lacework and a thin head, in fact if it weren’t for the lack of a nice head this beer would have recieved a 5 in the appearance department. The aroma is pretty subdued, some yeast. The flavor is a smoother than your average IPA, but lacks what I think constitutes a good IPA, pine citrus and a strong hop background, there is definitely hops in the taste, mostly in the back of the throat, but this seems to be a half breed of a wheat ale and an IPA, kudos for trying something new, but who wants a hoppy wheat ale. I suppose I am being too hard on this brew, after drinking most of my glass it isn’t half bad.

Not that impressed. Flavor was dominated by pine. Not enough malt. Pretty one dimensional flavor.

An OK IPA. I think that the balance of this particular beer is just a little off.

Draught. Golden and clear with smaller head. Aroma is big grapefruit hop and a touch of spice... great dry hopped aroma. Flavor is hoppy fruits and pine, all very dry and crisp with a bitter long finish.

Appearance: Very attractive honey orange slightly hazy body with a sexy 3 finger off white crown composed of densely packed small carbonation bubbles that show loads of retention and lace! Smell: Really nice herbal / grassy hop profile over a toffee malt foundation. Taste: Wow what a let down.... First off its too sweet and second off it has this bad citric (lemon like chemical sour finish) Mouthfeel: a touch thin Drinkability: its just too awkward tasting to be drinkable Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-28-2009

Pours a light orange/amber color, Decent bone white head with some lingering lacing. Aroma is of bright citrus-y hop. Taste is similar to the aroma. Definitely one of my favorite session-ipa’s.

Golden color with a thin dissappearing head. Sharp hop resin nose. Flavors of apricot, grass, resin, and candied grapefruit rind. Pretty standard IPA without much good or bad. Thanks to foppa78 for the bottle.

Orange golden with a nice head, unusual, comes across more like a Dortmunder or Pilsner, but while it is not especially bitter is very nice.

Poured a cloudy straw/gold with a huge foamy white head that lasted some time. Aroma & taste: hops, pine, mild citrus, floral notes, malts. Overall a very good take on the style. Nice body, excellent balance. Refreshing and easy to drink.
