Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

Golden color with a taller, lasting, off-white head. HInts of caramel, upon orange peels and pine sap. Aromas seem thin. Light crisp start. Middle is resinous and just a touch of toffee. Light and fizzy in feel. Perhaps my bottle is too cold. I let the glass warm... Light honey and bit of grass hops. Still fizzy and light. Flavors are better, warmer, but still thin, just like the body. LInger is bitter and has some pine and just straight bitterness which adds little, without much of a malt backbone.

A clear golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hop bitter, with fruits like citrus and orange. Smells sweet. The taste is dry, bitter. It’s fruity and sweet. The aftertaste is dry and sweet biter. Overall for me too sweet for a IPA.

Bottle from GBBF 09. Gold, thin white head. Really lovely leafy fresh hop aroma. Grapefruit PNW hop aroma. OK in mouth, with some toast, some sweetness, but lacking a bit of backbone. Could do with a bit more fullness from the malts. Nice hops on finish too. Not sure where it goes. Good though

Bottle in KC. Apricot pour with above average head. A step up in flavor and intensity from the Pale Ale. A pleasing drink and another hit for Boulevard.

Bottle at GBBF 2009. Golden pour with slight head. Aroma of hops and pine, taste is similar. A well balanced and refreshing IPA.

Pours a nice copper color with a dense white head that remained and left attractive lacing behind on the glass. Smells of earthy hops, some pine, and definitely some citus as well. The flavor was very appetizingly bitter with hints of pine and citrus. I was very surprised by the quality of this IPA, rather well done.

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot out of this one but it was damn good. Golden amber pour with a bubbly white head. Good carbonation. Hoppy citrus aroma with a nice citrusy taste and a grassy finish.

12 oz bottle from Market of Choice. consumed as the last beer in my "Drink a new craft beer for every day of Oregon Craft Beer month" in July. Poured dark golden with a thick white head and nice lacing. Aroma was heavy on citrus hop notes with some pine and quite a bit of caramel malt. Flavor was the same, a little maltier than I would prefer but still a good brew.

Yet another Boulevard I got to try from the sample pack, thanks again to my bro/sis-in-law, nice cloudy amber pour, large head. Very citrusy and hoppy. Taste is what I’ve come to expect from an American micro-brewed IPA. Nice balance with a hoppy finish. A great IPA and another great one from Boulevard.

[Bottle] Pours a darker shade of gold with lots of white head. Initial aroma of sweet citrus mellows out to more of a floral hop character. Crisp hoppy notes in the flavor. A good amount of light caramel malts balance this one well. A light and oily hop finish. A solid and well made IPA.
