Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American versionóinspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.óboasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

Pours amber with a nice head. Aroma...not a lot there. Taste is pine / citrus hops with a little malt backbone. Not quite as good as my few favorite IPAs, but still decent. Not sure Iíd seek it out again, but worth a try if you havenít had it yet. Will share one with the hop-head buddies for the heck of it. 12 oz bottle from Friar Tuck in Springfield, IL.

Bottle. Nice burnt amber pour, average off white head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops, laid over a sweet maltiness. Taste is same but stronger, medium body with nice lingering finish. I would gladly buy this one again.

bottle thanks to Creedon, pours orange with a tall off white head. Aroma is strong citrus hop notes of grapefruit and orange peel. Flavor is sweet and sour pale malts, grass, and orange juice. Finishes dry with a healthy dose of resinous hops.

The beer pours a dark yellow color with a white head. The aroma is orange and pine hops. The flavor is orange and lemon hops as well as some bready and caramel malt. There is a nice grassy character to the flavor as well. Low to medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice, easy drinking IPA.

12 oz. bottle from the local QFC. Fluffy head sits on top of a nice hazy orange appearance. This IPA looks great. This has a nice, pungent aroma. Grapefruit, and a little pine come through. Itís [the aroma] not as crisp as some of the other IPAs that I love e.g. Two Hearted. This beer has a lovely grapefruit, citrus hop aroma. Very clean taste. I donít know if this is fresh, but it has a "Best By" date of 3/13/11. This has a nice texture. Nothing completely over-the-top, but it is a solid IPA.

The appearance of this beer has a soft clear orange liquid with a creamy white head. The aroma of the beer starts with a sweet hay like malt and ends with spruce like citrus. The taste of this beer starts with sweet body with a medium bitter ending. A great IPA!

Tasted from a 12oz bottle obtained as an extra in a trade, Best By 02/26/11. Pours a hazy but bright orange with a thick and fluffy white head that slowly settles into a thick and uneven lace. The nose is citrus and pine with some caramel and a wheat aroma. The flavor is very similar, with pine, lemon peel, some wheat, and a nice caramel malt backbone with hops bitterness on the back of the palate. The body is light with average carbonation and a long bitter hops and pine finish.

Picked this up after swearing off Boulevard, thought the Double-Wide was awful...some think I got a bad bottle. Well, the Single isnít much better but at least it will be going down my throat instead of the drain like the Double. Soapy aroma, hazy yellow appearance, tastes like a beginnerís batch, no thanks.

A pretty standard IPA, nothing really stands out too much, although the carbonation is a bit fizzy on the tongue.
