COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

12oz bottle. Pour was a light golden orange color. Lots of carbonation action and a big old frothy head. Aroma is floral and fruity. Mouth follows suit of aroma with a moderate bite and crispiness up front. Medium bodied. Very nice.

Helder geel/oranjekleurig bier met grote witte schuimkraag. Geur: hop, pompelmoes, harsachtig. Smaak: hop bitter, pompelmoes en wat sinaasappel. Goed in balans met wat moutzoetigheid, of net iets teveel en daardoor eigenlijk een redelijk zachte IPA. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: bitterig.

12 oz bottle, with freshness date.

Pours a light orange color. Somewhat cloudy. Some sediment floating around. About two fingers thick white head. Pretty good retention, good lacing.

Aroma is bright citrus like grapefruit. A little piney. I also smell peaches in this.

Taste is orange zest. Caramel malt and honey. While hoppy, I taste more floral than bittering hops. Theres a little pine resin coming in on the finish. Its a little spicy.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Quite dry and crisp. Just bitter enough to be a lip smacker. It’s not offensive on the palate, so I would say it’s pretty drinkable. Tastes like it could be a little higher in ABV.

Overall, it’s pretty good. It’s a little subdued in hops as far as I’m concerned. But the Overall product, I like quite a bit. Yeah, ID probably recommend this, and yes I’d probably bug this again. This is probably the best Boulevard beer I’ve had.

A good IPA with all the typical IPA tastes. Not very much aroma and a bit matt while drinking. But then shortly later the taste reappears during the aftertaste. Funny.

Bottle. Pours golden with semilasting white head. Aroma is tropical, citrus, caramalt and some pine. Taste is dominated by sweet tropical with a malty background. Some pine in the taste also. Medium to low bitterness. Nothing special about this one and to loe bitterness for me.

35.5cl bottle at home (9 VI 2016). A firm white, and frothy head tops an orange to copper, very clear brew. Great looking, and lovely flavoured. The nose has lots of hops but not fruity ones (classic hops, maybe some pinewoods). A rather hoppiness with wheat and grain character. There is a bit grass in there as well, and maybe some cellar. The taste is very, very dry and bitter, just as a classic bitter american ale. Not overly hopped, yet a well balanced very bitter brew with some sweet malt and grain hints. A medium carbonation and slightly medium body add to the thin mouthfeel. A good quencher and good taster, and a mature brew as well with some outspoken American features. This mature character comes from a small amount of yeast added to this IPA before packaging, bringing a second fermentation the bottle. The sweetness is not that sugary, yet exotic though. The ending is a that flat, yet long lasting. A pretty decent, classic bitter, American IPA.

Toute l’Amérique dans une bouteille : amère et sans concessions. Existe depuis 1989, tout est dit. Au top.
