COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2011 Bottle dated 10/31/11 so I assume it’s only 2 weeks old! I rarely agree with Frank, haha ;-) but I’m glad he’s getting that lemony note also! Clear but viscous looking orange with a thick frothy cream colored head. Aroma of light vanilla, lemon, orange, light pine and resin. Flavor falls a bit short especially in the malt profile, somewhere between being light and clean and sweet and sappy, except it is neither, hops are lemony, lightly piney with odd harsh bitterness that leaves the mouth a bit medicinal. 7.4.6.3.11. . . . . . rerate 8.19.11, funkybrewster asked me to rerate this one as he thinks I got an old bottle... well the bottle he provided me was not a step in the right direction, severe oxidation/bacterial acetaldehyde in here, huge foamy head like an infection present, nice green apple taste... mmm tart... thanks funky!

Hops are good... Hops that make beer taste like Pine Sol... not so good. Ok, I’m overstating it a bit... This beer isn’t terrible, but pine is not my thing.

Poured into my ccb pint glass. Golden color with moderate carbonation, a paper thin head and a little lacing. Aroma of mild hops and malts to balance out. Taste is solid, good hop and malt balance, more citrus than pine. The beat part of this beer is how drinkable it is. Smooth and not overpowering, great beer after yard work or anytime you want one!

Draft. Rich O's. Golden, wispy head. Hop aroma is muted, but somewhat grassy. Firm malt backbone, bitter, citrus, lemon and grapefruit.

Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy, buoyant, voluminous creamy head that leaves some sticky lace behind. Nose is floral, citrusy fruit, and piney hops with some soft caramel. Taste is mostly bitter, with a light growing sweetness. A lot of flavor packed in there, really bursts. Palate is vibrant, powerful, medium to full bodied, refreshing with a lengthy finish. This is a well crafted IPA. Will seek again, nicely done.

Bottle from Hilton st. Louis. Pouts orange with a thin white head. Big grass notes on the nose. The grass continues on the nose with a citrus vibe. Finish clean. One of the better IPA’s not from California.

Originally reviewed: 4/9/09. Bottle received from monsterfat (BA) in a recent trade. Thanks! Pours a deep gold with a massive white, foamy head on top, that retained as good as any I’ve seen. A nice inch-width head throughout the entire drink. Some nice sticky globs on the side. Rings absent. Smelled of nice piney hops. Some spiciness was also noted. Mouthfeel was crisp yet slightly wet. Drinkability was decent. Flavor was a decent balance of bisuity malts and a nice hoppy bitter bite. I was a little underwhelmed though. Nothing that spectacular, but decent. No citrus player noted. Finished a tad spicy. Not a bad beer. Glad I got to try it.

I love Boulevard’s style. Transparent copper with a thick white head. Hoppy, but I find it beautifully balanced with plenty of malt. Some pineapple and tropical fruit pokes through. Long finish.

Bottle. Caramel malt and pineapple/grapefruit hops aroma. Hazy golden with a moderate white head. Citrus, grapefruit, grassy hops and light wheat malt flavor. Light to medium body and carbonation. Solid, but I’d like it even better if it were a little more malt forward.

I came across this last summer. Its a good camp fire brew or a good fresh cut grass beer.

Nice looking, tan and slightly cloudy with a nice fluffy white head. Smells quite hoppy, with plenty of pine and citrus. Taste follows the smell, a dry finishing hoppy and pine/citrus flavor, light malts.
