Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

Bottle post GBBF, Day 2, August 2009. Quite pale amber colour. Nice enough condition. A solid hoppy IPA. Lots of grapefruit and some pine resin. Retains a high degree of drinkability. Maybe relatively standard fare in US terms but nicely done.

Not my favorite. Taste was a little weak as well as the aroma. I found it to have a watery quality. I would not buy this beer again.

Cloudy amber pour. Medium off white head. Nose is pine, caramel, citrus. Medium mouthfeel. Fresh orange juice and citrus peel. Pine. Graham cracker malt. Finishes slightly sweet and citrusy with lingering pine. Uncomplicated but solid.

Bottle. Clear gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of white grapefruit, tangleo, and dry pale malt. Vague but very clean sweet citrus and cut grass in the mouth. The malt profile is quite clean as well, with a balanced mouthfeel and bitterness level. A solid IPA.

ENG: 355ml bottle from Liquor Mart in Winnipeg, poured into the Teku glass. Orange, clean color, with nice, thick, tan head and some lacing. Aromas of citrus (mostly lemon) and yeast. Tastes earthy, flowery, piney, grapefruity with some malty-yeasty background. Delicate bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation, medium body. Overall it’s a pretty hardly balanced brew, all the aromas and flavors aren’t too much popped-up, rather they are dimmed. Despite that, they are quite complex and interesting. Good beer.

PL: Butelka 355ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do Teku. Barwa pomarańczowa, klarowna, piana jasna, gęsta z ładnym lejsingiem. Aromaty cytrusowe (głównie cytryna) oraz drożdżowe. W smaku ziemiste, kwiatowe, sosnowe, grejpfrutowe ze słodowo-drożdżowym tłem. W posmaku delikatna goryczka. Dobre piwo.

Bottle @ Cafe de Zaak, BB Jan 2016, large sample. Slight hazy yellow to golden color, medium frothy white head. Aroma is slight grassy, bit citrus, slight spicy. Bit weak actually. Soft bitter in taste, bit grainy malt. Very very disappointing. Feels like a belgian hoppy blonde almost. Not fresh enough?

Nose is mostly grapefruit rind, sweet malt, pine. Flavor is basically the same plus a little floral character. Clean and inoffensive but very generic.
