*Did not like, would not buy.* Appearance is hazy amber. Smells like menthol! In fact, it reminds me of something specific... some liqueur drink, a touch to drink liqueur at that. Jagermesiter and menthol, that’s it. Some sourish beer in the backdrop. Tastes sour, not in the tart way, but in the funky barnyard way. Thick malts, but it’s all wrong. Mouthfeel is too, too spritzy. This beer is boo.

Sep 5, 2008 (bottle from pepesican)orange/brown body with a nice light brown head.aroma is orange peel,cinnamon,belgian yeast,green apples,and alcohol heat.flavor is much of the same with some bananas,brown sugar,wheat bread,and a slight alcohol finish.pretty damn tasty stuff.

Sep 4, 2008 Bottle from Windy City. Deep amber in color. Looks well carbonated. Good sized beige head. Dark fruit aroma with a bit of yeast and spices. Some alcohol. Prickly mouthfeel. Spicy dark fruit flavors dominate. A little alcohol in the finish.

Sep 4, 2008 Batch 68081. Pours with a huge, creamy, off-white head that leaves good lacing and has great retention. Hazy deep amber body (too light in color for the style). Aroma of figs, brandy, cinnamon, black cherry and a slight sour note. Taste is very rich with strong brandy, light spices, and dark fruits everywhere. Mouthfeel is syrupy with light, natural bubbles. Not completely to style.

Aug 31, 2008 bottle. A very nice quad. Smooth, drinkable with a long finish. Similar to iron hill quad. Very nice. Big, fluffy head.

Aug 31, 2008 750ml. bottle. Poured a real nice dark gold/copper color, nice light tan head. Sweet dark fruit aroma, raisens maybe, very bubbly as well. Very sweet flavor, good sweet though, very smooth and drinkable. Very nice beer.
