Much thanks to Dmac for sharing this bottle. Pours out a somewhat muddy apple cider color with a small off white head. Aroma is of bourbon, oak, caramel, dried fruits and some light alcohol. Taste is complex, light vanilla, caramel, toffee, bourbon, oak, sweet dried fruits, cherries, light dates. Some warming alcohol comes in, in the finish. Complex and leaves some sticky residue on your lips.....

Major flaw here for me is I don’t like cherries. But if you like quads and cherries then this may be your new favorite because I still liked it despite not liking the focal flavor of the beer that makes it unique. Maybe people shouldn’t buy, much less rate beers after reading the label on the beer with an ingredient they dislike. Douches....

Grove Park Inn. Too many beers down already. Why not end the evening with this one? I want to do everything in my power to feel like dirt tomorrow. Mission accomplished.

2013 Bottle at home. Pours a pretty looking almost clear ruby reddish orange amber. Medium creamy off-white head, lasting with lace. Good carbonation. Aroma finds notes of cherries, wood, bourbon, toffee, caramel, some dark fruit, touch of vanilla. Tips towards sweet. Complex and balanced. Medium to Lighter full bodied. Soft. Lovely bourbon character and accompanying warming sensations without any booziness or burn. Layers of dark fruity, woody, vanilla, toffee. Some gentle tartness in the background. An extremely well-made beer. A complex, thoughtful sipper. I really enjoyed this.

Taste is similar, definitely more cherries. Strong bourbon, but not too harsh. Fairly smooth Nice finish. Fairly sweet from the cheeries.

Pours a dark amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is caramel and some toffee. Flavor is sweet with caramel vanilla and malt. Bourbon and oak also present. A bit too oaky for my taste. Finishes a bit sweet. Medium bodied. Thanks to Brisben at Porch Nite for this.

Pours a reddish copper with a off white foam head, nicely carbonated. The aroma is of mild sweet bourbon, vanilla, carmel toffee like malt, oak, cherry fruit, and a mild to medium booze scent. In tasting I noticed defined cherry, medium vanilla, booze, mild bitterness, sweet sugary grains, and a moderate sweet bourbon flavor. Overall a very good beverage. The finish was pleasant.
