3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazed peachy pour with creamy off white head and lace. Sour maltiness, paper, and spice. Chocolate, sour malt, and a decent medium earthy bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

Word on street is some bottles got the infect....
Pours a diaphanous copper ale with just a sheet of fine, light latte foam. No lace. Smells of chocolate, a hint of pepper and some english malts. Flavor is of cocoa, butter, some sugar and sweetness. No infection tasted here. Body is smooth and rich with low carb an a syrupy finish. Interesting beer, donít know if the beer is infected, but I find it to be pretty decent.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate and nutty malt notes is quite interesting. Taste is also dominated by really nice floral black chocolate notes without much bitterness. Nutty caramel malt notes are also easily discernible and really enjoyable. Body is about average with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very enjoyable and nice integration of chocolates notes without going back to a stout.

I absolutely love most of the smokestack series. But this stuff is absolutely horrible. Pour a Perrier into a glass of chocolate milk and you'll be better off.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a light brown and some faint chocolate. It is a fairly weak chocolate beer, I expect better from Boulevard. Not terrible, but wonít seek it out again.

Keg at Beermongers in Portland, OR on 5 June 2013.
Pours a dark brown with a lingering light brown head. Aroma of some coffee and subtle chocolate. Chocolate far less subtle in the flavour... This is really sweet and I had a hard time finishing my 5oz glass. I donít like overly sweet chocolate anyway, but although this may appeal to some, to me it tasted like a nice porter that someone tipped a whole box of Hershey bars into...

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Russellís Liquors. Pouts brown with a thin khaki head that leaves no lacing. Faint chocolate notes on the nose. Dark chocolate notes definitely come through on the finish. Very well balanced. No alcohol burn to speak of. I wish this was bigger but itís still pretty solid.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma was more subtle than I thought it would be, chocolate, vanilla, maybe a little coffee aroma in there. A nice thick tanish colored heat, huge amounts of lacing. Flavor is chocolate through and through with some vanilla in there as well.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Faint chocolate and hoppy aroma. Light reddish-brown color. Not very much chocolate to this beer, despite the name. Pretty standard lager flavors with a lot of carbonation. Short, bitter finish. Not very good

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
This cork and caged bottled brew from a rating party poured a medium sized head of foamy tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a typically carbonated semi-hazy orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was malty orange and cocoa. The off tasting mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The soft flavor contained notes of sweet cocoa hops and malt. Not one that I would likely drink again.
