3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A- Body is a deep, thick, viscous, opaque-dark brown nearly black color. Pours with a big cream colored head-eventually fades to 1/2 finger and leaves lots of lacing behind in the glass- a very good looking beer.
S- The belgian stout has a strange nose- milk, spicy belgian yeast, dark chocolate, a hint of funk, and a hint of roasted malt.
T- Taste is very similar to the nose-only comes off more as a roasted milk stout. There is an underlying hint of Belgian yeast-but the milkiness, roasted malt, and coacoa take precidence.
M- Medium to high carbonation-a nice, smooth velvety mouthfeel, smooth and creamy.
D- Actually overall I find this beer to be quite odd. I love belgians and I love stouts-but belgian stouts-and for that matter-sour porters/stouts or weirder to my palate than the American Black Ale. Its fairly enjoyable and yes very drinkable-but weird-the fact that this is funky and not sour is certainly a benefit.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas of fig, chocolate, coffee, creme brulee, alcohol. Pours dark brown with light brown head. Aroma reflects in taste but a little too dry for me. That’s what u get when u use Belgian yeast. But like description said it’s amazing with any sort of dessert. Enjoy

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich malt aroma.
Starts dry, becoming more complex and silky with malt, caramel, fig, nice nobel type bittering hop character to complement maltiness along with slight smokiness.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
(Jomfruland, 18.07.14)

355 ml bottle @ home, July 08, 2014.
Beer from a tulip glass.
Beer bought @ "Vinmonopolet Vika", Oslo.
Black in color with a beige head and medium carbonation.
A bit alcohol up front.
Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and some soy sauce and dark dried fruits.
Tastes malt and coffee and has a bit crisp and bittersweet touch.
Nice for us who love coffee.
Probably even better in taste if served with some dark chocolate or a chocolate cake made of real Belgian chocolate.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very bitter almost herbish imperial stout. Pours black with good mocha head and lacing. Thick but slick texture that doesn’t lean too much on the side of creamy or syrupy. Dark bitter chocolate and poignant roast. Light booze and a hint of caramel. There is some light sweetness on finish. Bottle.
