COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Columbus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Chinook hops added in the whirlpool. It is dry hopped with generous amounts of Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops. The resulting beer has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with nice head and lacing. Aroma of peach and citrus. Mouthfeel is slightly prickly. Taste is citrus, floral, hint of pine and finish of caramel malt. Solid DIPA ----Hophaze out

Hopped up beer that delivers exactly what it promises. The variety of hops used in the brew process rear their heads at the appropriate time in the drinking experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A solid beer courtesy Secret Santa. Thanks man! Aroma was good. Apricot and peach are the main smells. I’ve been out of the brewing game for a while so I’m guessing this a Magnum hop thing. Pour was a beautiful hazy dark burnt orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was nice. Not a real fan of the tropical fruit/melon flavors in IPAs these days, but this is still a solid beer. The apricot and peach are more pronounced with honeydew and cantaloupe mingling in. Not much bitterness, but nice strong carbonation.

Fresh aroma of pine and grapefruit. Little malty. Flavor is pleasantly light but round, enough caramel malts to balance the piny, even soapy hops.

There’s something slightly different about this double IPA. Boulevard’s smokestack series have brought a number of inspirational tasty beers, with that German/ Belgian edge. This brew is finomonal. Cheers!

Draft at Brewer’s Art. Orange amber pour, tons of white head. Lacing is fantastic. Aroma is sweet DIPA hopiness, stonefruit. Flavor is the same, but not in a bad way. Complex, drinkable, resinous aftertaste. Another really good beer from these guys.

Pours a super golden amber and leaves more of a slightly bronze looking colored body with a one and a half finger white foamy head that rises to a sort of rocky looking lumpiness that wants to overflow but nicely maintains a classic awesome sustained head that just hovers over top of the glass (wow, what a nice show); the aroma has an initial smell (actually smokey, but quickly goes away, unsure where that came from and unaware if that was intentional), anyways, it leads into a the "typical" DIPA smells of citrus and pine coming through in a nice sweet sort of way followed by a slight bitterness; the taste is mainly sweet (there’s an element that wants to be slightly bitter, but it really comes across mainly sweet through the citrus/pine aspects). A very citrus-like aftertaste, dry malty finish and comes across pretty combined - I like it; on the palate this one sits about a medium on the body with a semi-sessionable aspect to it (as far as any DIPA really can be), carbonation comes across like a good DIPA (there’s the harsh bittering pounding on the mouth and tongue but still not overdoing it just to let the malty aspects show their face); overall - I say this is a good DIPA that I would have again, good job Boulevard, I’m certainly glad to have finally tried this and would certainly be glad to have it again.

Hazy amber/toffee colored pour. Big off-white head. Tons of lacing. Big malty nose up front with some muted notes of hop. Malty taste. A little carbonic, but not overwhelming. Sweet finish. A little corked as this sample was a few years old. Aged well, like a nice barleywine.

Pours from the bottle a hazy amber with a big foamy head. Medium lacing. Piney hops and citrus predominate the smell. Those follow through to taste with lingering bitterness. Very floral. Medium mouth with a fair bit of oil. This is a very nice DIPA.

Pours a nice syrup colored brown with a medium head. Nice hoppy finish and aftertaste. Solid DIPA.
