COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Columbus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Chinook hops added in the whirlpool. It is dry hopped with generous amounts of Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops. The resulting beer has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

Great packaging. Bottled like a Belgium. Huge hard to get out cork and all. Taste ...MEH. Not much going on here. It had it’s points but...MEH. BIG buck little bang. Did NOT have all the aggressive suck my D""" notes in other reviews. The single D.W is a better value and flavor.

355 ml bottle purchased from Kroger in Atlanta. Hazy orange brown colour with medium head. Spicy fruity taste with a distinct citrus/grapefruit peel tone and a hint of caramel. Truly excellent and probably the best ipa i’ve sampled on my US southeast roadtrip.

12oz Bottle. The pour was a murky brownish orange with an average (1-2 finger) light tan frothy head that was mostly lasting, reducing to a moderate soapy film with large collar that lasted throughout and had excellent sheets of sticky lacing.

The aroma was of a light biscuit malt, pine hops and a cheesy yeast with notes of caramel, toffee and citrus (orange and lemon).

The taste was lightly acidic and very malty with a decent caramel sweetness from the onset, becoming rather hoppy with a good bold piney presence and a bitter citrus peel ending. The flavor lasted for a very long time proceeding the swallow, with a boldly bitter hoppy taste left behind to linger just a tad longer.

Mouthfeel was a bit below medium in body and dry in texture with a strong medium carbonation.

Overall this was a highly impressive tasting IPA. It possessed a mild malty sweetness that blended perfectly with the bitter piney citrus flavor which did a superb job of concealing the somewhat high ABV, except for a light alcohol warming sensation right at the end... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Kopparfärgad med stort ljusbrunt skum. Doft av tropisk humle och karamellmalt men inte så mycket som jag trodde! Lite trött tyvärr!

Pours a nice reddish amber color with a slightly golden/white head. Aroma of malt, pine, and citrus. Nice sweet citrus flavor up front, followed by a grassy spicy hop finish. Great IPA.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with a medium sized off white head. The aroma has pine and grapefruit. The taste has a dry medium bitter, citrus, caramel. Solid but unspectacular.

Bottle at the cabin in NH. Pours perfectly clear, deep gold with a large, lasting off-white froth head. The nose holds lightly spicy pine, ripe mango, mild dank citrus. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of ripe fruits, citrus, papaya, light alcohol and moderate piney bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Warming finish, fairly resinous, with more ripening citrus, booze, mango, pine and papaya. Quite heavy-duty but not at all bad. Mild florals and berries as well. Good ripe mango character lingers.

Beautiful amber pour from bottle with long lasting tan head. It tastes like a double and is a bit boozy. Not really for me, but solid nonetheless. Duces. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a handsome orange copper or brick orange color. Fat creamy head of khaki foam sits on top and last and lasts. Leaves a thick ring, a film on top and spots and sheet of lace to slide down the glass as it drinks. The nose is bright with citrus and deep with malt. I noticed lemon and lime at first. There is brown sugar and caramel , the icy sweetness of the lemon peel and a bit of cool mint in the back ground. A floral pervades and lightens the nose. A touch of grapefruit and some earth and pine.

Taste is sweet with some rich caramel and a bit of brown sugar. The citrus is struggling a bit to meet the hefty malt flavor but it does. And it’s juicy. A bit of tangerine develops as it warms. There is a distinct herbal character in this one that makes it terribly pleasant. It’s a bit of mint some sweet grass and a faint spice that’s hard to describe. it has a leafy sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium but almost full and when you realize the strength of the malt presence you then are happy at the ease of the mouthfeel. This beer keeps a delicate balance and does it rather well. The pungent herbal and the fruits all come together as the beer warms to finally outpace the steady caramel. Finishes almost dry but with a touch of sweetness and residual sugar.

Very good.
