COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Columbus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Chinook hops added in the whirlpool. It is dry hopped with generous amounts of Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops. The resulting beer has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

Dark amber pour from bottle. Nice foamy head. The aroma begins and ends with massive hops. Taste is earthy, with notes of pine, flowers and citrus. Nice bite to the finish. Decent, but not great IPA.

Pours a murky amber with sediment, big head, and good lacing. Aroma is really fruity, with pineapple and apricot, backed by some floral hops and a little caramel. Taste comes on quickly with very strong resiny bitterness. Some caramel malt tries to balance, but it’s quickly crowded out again by the long lasting bitter finish. Alcohol is slightly warming but otherwise hidden. Palate is medium bodied, a little astringent with all the resin.

Bottle. Has a transatlantic voyage and 4 months to it I guess (best before 080913)? Pours dark amber with a big, thick light beige head. Some sediment. Aroma is quite faint but has mostly peach and citrus, some caramel malt. Taste has caramel malt, grapefruit, tropical fruit and a big, almost tongue numbing piny/resinous bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth yet dry. Medium body, medium carbonation. Aftertaste is very long and bitter.

Solid full bodied DIPA. Strong pine notes on a full yet not sweet malt base. Strongly bitter but never overpowering. Good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours amber with a white head. Some citrus and pine. A little on the malty side but not overly malty. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very good, A big IPA, smallish double IPA that has great depth of flavor with the malt coming through to balance the citrusy hops. A beer that stood out when tasting several.

An excellent, balanced IPA. I remember the finish as being complex, fresh, full of lighter fruitiness. Not necessarily bitter. Pours a light amber color. The malt backbone is a bit thin but there.

Pours a copper color with an orange tint. Aroma is of pine and citrus. Taste is slight citrus with a bitter aftertaste. A light caramel in the aftertaste. Overall a decent IPA, found in a Corona CA pizzeria.

Poured from a 120z bottle to tulip. Bust out the hops my brethren. I am raving about this one. There is a lot to love here! The aroma starts with a delightful burst of fresh hops. Mango, pineapple, some earthy peat and so much more. The apricot and lemony citrus mentioned in the commercial description are there in full. The bottle I have says it’s 8.8% ABV. In the glass this is lovely. A hazy sunset over the Grand Canyon reddish gold. A long lasting and robust head of eggshell yellow. In the mouth the hops envelope the palate, yet this is not a palate wrecker. Juicy from the jump the pucker literally made me shiver! WOW! The citrus and tropical fruits are amazing. The malts are faint, and this is very hop forward but it holds together in harmony. There is a just right sweetness to go with a woodsy, smoky like a nice scotch undercurrent. This DIPA drinks so smooth it’s scary. The mouth continues to water well into the aftertaste. My only real criticism is that it is a tad bit thin not as full and robust a mouthfeel as I would expect in this style. If all you care about is high IBUs and palate numbing bitterness this isn’t that. If you want juicy juicy hops showcased to perfection with complex and senses filling flavor, welcome you’ve found your beer! LOVE IT!

Pours a hazy dark orange/brown. White head and tons of lacing. Aroma was alittle surprising...light fruits like strawberries, oranges, and peaches. Taste is solid with grapefruit, pine, licorice (unless my taste buds are failing me), and malts. Not an elite 2IPA, but close.

Aroma: Pine resin, citrus and a little wet eucalyptus. Appearance:Amber with a brown tint and a small eggshell head. Flavor: Big malty caramel sweetness, followed by alcohol and a resiny bitterness. Palate: Full bodied, moderate carbonation, sticky texture and a huge long bitter finish. Overall: A very nice DIPA, though the alcohol comes across a bit harsh.
