COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double-Wide I.P.A. uses Columbus and Magnum hops for both bittering and aroma with Chinook hops added in the whirlpool. It is dry hopped with generous amounts of Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops. The resulting beer has a hop forward aroma, redolent of peach and apricot. The assertive flavor bursts with the citrus qualities of blood orange and lemon with a slight caramel malt backbone to balance the intense hop flavor. There is little restraint in the flavor of this beer; it is certainly not for the pedestrian palate.

750ml corked and caged brown bottle. Batch 09305. It pours a darker color than most IPA’s. It is a distinct burnt reddish/caramel color with a huge off-white head. The smell is pure malt almost. It is very sugary and rich the hops are herbal and citrusy. I could have an older bottle, so the hops may have faded. The flavor is rich and carmally, very east coast leaning, not alot of bitter hop bite. IT really just tastes like a caramel ale with a hint of pine. Something like the bastard child of a DIPA and Barleywine like Brewdog Hardcore IPA. It has a similar un-hidden alcoholic burn. It is a skip, for the price it isn’t worth it. Growler taste. Darker and a light more sweet and caramel than citrus is very good. Has hop character but more malt backbone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to PorterPounder! Slinky, tapered bottle, hilarious label; murky, apricot-colored beer. Rich, sweet, fruity aroma with a plummy, pickled olive thing going on. A spicy, fig newton flavor - dry pastry, notes of preserved figs/raisins/apricots without being dark, a little pepper, ABV noticable, hefty bittering. Mouthy, with edgy hops at the tangy end. Really good - the name threw me off though.

This DIPA pours a nice orange bronze. The aroma is fair with a slight pine scent. Again, BLVD is able to mask the 8.5% ABV very well. A really solid and sturdy DIPA with a bold toffee/resin bite. Very pleased! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone so go have a DIPA!

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk. Pours clear amber with a large, staying, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has oranges, peach, strawberry, resin, mild caramel. Medium carbonation, fine dry and nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, sweet malts, caramel, light sugary. Very bitter, resin, peach, oranges. Long, lingering bitter finish. Very nice.

Bottle - Grassy, citrus and resin. Cloudy amber with a thick white head. Mild lemon grass and a hit of long but well balanced bitterness. Nice and drinkable but a bit weak for a IIPA.

Bomber. Pours a deep orange amber with ample frothy, slightly off white head. Aroma is decidely ripe citrus with slight hop bitter. Taste is a fairly complex combination of citrus, some peach or apricot, sweetness balance by the hop combination. A very nice Double IPA.

The aroma is hoppy without being in your face at all; in fact, the scent is nearly subtle, but the taste is bold with a strong (not mild yet not overwhelming) bitter flavor coming through alongside a very subtle sweet quality, which combines nicely with the palate’s fusion of a slick texture, average carbonation, long bitter finish, and a medium body.

Pours an optimistic orange-amber golden color with a HUGE orange hued, eggshell colored head. Underwhelming nose. Earthy, outdoor aroma with some citrus breaking through. Mouthfeel is a medium-bodied, thin, and wet. The flavors are very peculiar. This is like no IPA I’ve had. Some tart cherry smashed into a prune, stirred into toffee. There’s some bitterness that appears on the sides of the tongue along with the alcohol bitterness right at the finish.
