750ml bottle dated best by 04-2012 poured into tulip glass.
Aroma: banana, belgian yeast, caramel, vanilla, citrus, corriander, cinnamon. Very similar aromas to Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier.
Appearance: 1 finger of off white head, very tightly packed bubbles in the foam. tons of bubbles rising to surface. clear pour. orangish gold color.
Taste: heavy sweet, mild bitter, little to no sour
Palate: finish is heavy sweet, medium bitter, and mild sour. fully body and a creamy thick texture. carbonation is extremely fizzy. some alcohol burn in the finish.
Overall: Excellent tripel. Not my favorite style but I appreciate this one. Carbonation is extremely high on this. Very sweet as well.

Aroma is citrus, tart, sulphur, plum, raisins and candy sugar. Taste is rich sweet malts, dark sugar, dark fruits, caramel and fig. Very light tartiness on tip , just enough to add character. Appearance is a slightly hazy gold with a frothy pearl head that retains quite well.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From bottle in Belgian ale glass. Pours yellowish amber with a lively head from the bottle conditioning. Aroma of bananas and cloves like many a Belgian ale with the nice malt backbone of a tripel. Eminently drinkable so it’s probably good that this is the only bottle to make the long strange trip across the Pacific to my fridge. Glad to see Boulevard reach Australian shores.

Bottle...yeast, esters, banana, and some grassy funk predominate in this highly drinkable Tripal. Creamy body and a sweet impression give way to a fairly dry, clean finish. Really good.
