750ml Bottle. The pour was a murky chestnut brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown frothy head that had good retention, receding steadily down to a thin film with a medium collar which lasted throughout and possessed excellent sheets of lacing.
The aroma was of a dark bread malt and an earthy Belgian yeast with notes of molasses, dark fruit (raisons), licorice, brown sugar, cinnamon, banana and a bit of clove.
The taste was moderately sweet and quite malty with a hint of molasses, dark fruit and licorice from the get go, becoming a bit yeasty with a just a touch of banana and clove midway through and a nice cinnamon alcohol finish. The flavor stuck around for an average duration proceeding the swallow, with a slightly yeasty and dominating cinnamon, clove taste left lingering on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was medium in body with a mildly dry yet creamy texture and a effervescent carbonation.
Overall this brew was packed with flavor, lots of creamy sweetness and a strong spicy finish. A very unique and tasty Dubbel
