COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This re-release of our 2011 Collaborations Series No. 2 White IPA brings back the unique marriage of a classic Belgian wittier to an American IPA. We enjoyed the experience so much the first time around that we happily pressed Control+C (Command+C for Mac), and Reboot was born. Version 2.0 has upgraded its spicy aroma, with hints of bubblegum and clove. Bold flavors will launch upon uncorking, as sage and lemongrass balance the tangy, zesty wheat malt profile. Rather than merely blending a wittier with an IPA, Reboot harmonizes distinctly fruity Belgian yeast overtones with big, fruity American hop notes by creating an herbal bridge between these two somewhat contradictory flavors. The beer’s complexity os supported by a spritzy effervescence, finishing dry, with lingering hop notes.

Very hazy amber beer. Big white head. Light palate, starts fluffy but turns crisp and dry. Seltzer mineral backdrop, vaguely bretty. Vibrant sherbetty fruits - an equal balance of orange, lemon, grapefruit, mango and peach. Dry minerally finish with bitterness kicking in. Lovely!

750 c&c from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Batch 2011-2. Pours hazy, dirty light gold with a creamy/foamy 4 finger white head. It does a bit of ring lacing. Aromas of citrus, spice and a light resin. Full bodied. Flavors of orange zest/spice/herb-veg and resinous hop. This suddenly develops grassy/noble hop aspects. The zest smooths out. The spice moderates. It seems to become mostly hop. Gets a fruity sweetness, then back to hop and bitter. Seems complex to me. Excellent stuff.

A: The beer pours a pale golden with a big white head on it. S: The nose has a rather interesting blend of spices and hops. Some fruity pineapple and grapefruit hop notes along with a touch of grass. The traditional coriander and citrus peel are there along with a light bread and wheat aroma. T: Lots of pineapple and grapefruit on the flavor. There is a somewhat light bread/wheat character with a mild hop bitterness. Light grass and citrus peel on the finish. M: The body is medium with medium to high carbonation. O: I really liked this one, lots of nice flavors and great execution of a concept I wasn’t too crazy about.

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good to excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy yeasty citrus aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy sweet yeast flavor with a moderate to heavy sweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of wheat, sage, lemon, coriander, earthiness and light grassinewss. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of wheat, lemon, sage, coriander and grassiness with a crisp dry bitter lingering spiced finish. More of a Hoppy Witbeer than an IPA in my opinion.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a frothy, fizzy white head, medium retention with fair lacing. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malt with fruity esters and spices (black pepper, coriander, lavender) with light spicy hops. Flavor is moderate bitter hops and orange pith with supporting malt, well attenuated with a dry finish. Notes of pepper, coriander, and lavender. Light body, low warmth, and moderate carbonation.

Bottle @ home. Moderately cloudy, yellow appearance with a lively, foamy, white head. Light citrusy, wheat malty, mild to moderately earthy hoppy nose. Light wheat, lemon citrusy, lemongrass, mildly spicy, moderately earthy, floral hoppy flavor with a bit of a tangy finish. Sort of like a slightly hoppier version of DFH’s Namaste. Cool, refreshing brew.
