COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This re-release of our 2011 Collaborations Series No. 2 White IPA brings back the unique marriage of a classic Belgian wittier to an American IPA. We enjoyed the experience so much the first time around that we happily pressed Control+C (Command+C for Mac), and Reboot was born. Version 2.0 has upgraded its spicy aroma, with hints of bubblegum and clove. Bold flavors will launch upon uncorking, as sage and lemongrass balance the tangy, zesty wheat malt profile. Rather than merely blending a wittier with an IPA, Reboot harmonizes distinctly fruity Belgian yeast overtones with big, fruity American hop notes by creating an herbal bridge between these two somewhat contradictory flavors. The beers complexity os supported by a spritzy effervescence, finishing dry, with lingering hop notes.

Pours murky hay with nice white head. Terrific lace. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spice, white grapes, and grass. Incredibly tasty. Lemon zest, yeast, and clove on a perfect wheat malt canvas. Sweet and somewhat tart with a hidden earthy bitterness. Long, sweet, dry finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Wonderfully complex and wonderfully balanced. Great beer.

White IPAs are already pretty unique but Boulevard is never content with leaving a good style well enough alone. Not when it comes to the Smokestack Series. Reboot looks just like a Belgian White (its beautifully heady and effervescent by the way) but has a rather unique aroma of lemongrass, clove, citrusy hops, and slightly funky yeast. Basically, the smell is as complex as it is awesome. The hops are surprisingly subdued in this beer, and Im surprised to be saying that as a remark rather than a criticism. The flavors of citrus, lemongrass, candy-like wheat malt, clove, and ginger account for most of what you taste. That said, the body is very complex and is liable to change substantially even with a slight variation in temperature. While you dont necessarily get a lot of hop flavor (aside from nice lemon and orange peel citrus notes), you certainly feel their effect with the crisp finish. The lively carbonation helps to cut through this brews creamy mouthfeel and amplify that brilliant finish. To put it another way, this ale is one hell of a refresher. Reboot may not be your typical IPA (or even White IPA for that matter) but its too damn tasty to pass up. The gamer-style bottle artwork is badass, too.

Bottle. A- Cloves, spices, wheat, lemons. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Cloves, cinnamon, spices, coriander, wheat, lemons, citrus, slightly bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- Still wishing White IPA was its own category. However, Im not sure this should be an IPA at all. To be this is straight up Belgian White. Lots of spice, especially from the cloves and coriander and very wheat. Almost no bitterness and just an all around damn fine beer. The smokestack series does it yet again.

Poured from a 22oz bottle at byob sushi. Bright orange with small white head. Lemon and grapefruity smell - candy like. Sweet yet hoppy tropical fruit taste. Lemon orange and grapefruit. Tasty beer for a white ipa

An odd one for sure...remind me what this is again, a white IPA? Youre full of shit. This is an odd beer more of a hoppy Belgian Wit.

@ Whiteys Wine and Liquor / Lawrenceburg IN --- Nearly clear medium amber with a solid 2" head that takes a long time to drop to a head cover, swirls and dots of lace. Wheat and malt open things, adding citrus and coriander in the palate before moving with graceful smoothness to a clearly hopped finish. An unexpected success, matching disparate flavors and styles to create a new, appealing Belgian IPA. Recommended.

On the back of the bottle, it says "best by June 2014." I ended up pouring this into a Boulevard tulip because that is what the back of the bottle recommended. The appearance was a nice hazy yellow to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dies at a nice pace and ends up leaving a decent amount of spiderweb lacing. The smell has a gracious amount of Belgian spices and lends a touch of clove into a somewhat tightly packed light citrusy sweetness of a tangy yet zesty and somewhat grassy lemongrass and sage of sorts. The taste is zesty, tangy, has a decent sour to tart background in it and still maintains a nice spiciness to it. There is a nice lemon and somewhat citrus aftertaste that ends up leading to a decent somewhat dry finish. On the palate, it sits fairly light and has a decent sessionable quality to it. The carbonation is there as an AIPA or witbier, but also maintains a decent smoothness about it. Overall, AIPA or witbier, its labeled as an IPA on here, to me, I see qualities of both and for the most part, this is a very good beer. One I would have again - most definitely! Boulevard, please keep sending your beers to Alaska. Thank you.

Bottled, batch RB13254-2, best by 06-2014. Dark tangerine in color with a fluffy white head. Quite a few suspended particulates floating around within. Woody oak nose atop oranges, white pepper, dried wheat, coriander, rose petals. Belgian white characteristics battle the citrusy fresh IPA notes and are evenly matched - the flavor is pillowy soft malts up front with orange rind bitters, followed up by yeasty esters, spicy coriander and soft leathers. Bitterness grows a tad during the finish, turning grapefruity. A relaxing IPA? A punchy Belgian white? Its both. Well done.

On tap at battleship. Pours a a clear light golden color with a white head. Aroma is full of yeast, cloves, coriander and some citrus. Flavor is the same. A little bit less yeasty and clovey than the aroma would make you believe. Leaves a nicely balanced yeasty hefe finish. A nice earthiness to this one.

Beautiful bright clear golden pour with small ring of white head. Bright and spicy white ipa character. Light thai basil, lemongrass, white pepper. Wonderful spicy hop flavor, but not overly bitter. One of the best White IPAs ive ever had.
