4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle into lager glass, best before 2/2014. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon zest, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, bread, light honey, floral, grass, herbal, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with bright and balanced notes of hop, malt, and yeast esters; with great strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, bread, light honey, floral, grass, herbal, and floral/yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, light fruits, pepper, cracker, bread, light honey, floral, grass, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of bright hop, malt, and yeast ester flavors; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very crisp, smooth and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial Pilsner style. All around great balance of crisp and bright hop, malt, and yeast flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear golden yellow with a nice white head. Crisp aroma is quite fruity, a little sweet and rather robust. Crisp, fruity flavor is typical of a pils, only bolder. Mouthfeel is firm and fizzy. Let it reverb in your mouth.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear gold from the keg with little head retention. I must say this is an excellent pilsner even though I did not know an Imperial was even a style. Malty taste with malt and bread aroma with a little yeast. Slightly sweet on the palate with a filling finish. I just wish a regular high quatly pilsner could get this high of a rating.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location/Date:Bottle on October 9th, 2013.
Appearance: Pours a clearish gold.
Aroma: Aroma of light hay malt, light floral.
Taste: Light medium bitterness, hay, faint doughy yeast.
Palate:Medium light body, light fizz, lingering aftertaste.
Summary: This beer hits the mark on style, although I prefer the more hop forward versions others make.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Served in a small snifter, this pours a hazy light gold/straw color topped by a moderately durable head and average (at best) lacing. Light body; crisp; medium-high carbonation.
This imp. pilsner is stronger and more yeasty than your everyday pilsner, but retains the malty base, Saaz hops and dry, crisp finish. Higher ABV is partially hidden.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pilsener aroma, white bread, hint of sweetness. Some good depth of character... medium mouthfeel with a nice balance between pilsener bitterness and sweetness.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wow! A pilsner with a plus 90 rating! Wait, it says Imperial in front of it. But this is a damn fine, simple pilsner. No bells and whistles. No extra dry hopping. Just a bigger ABV pils that is clean and lovely. Good bubbly look to this dark yellow hued beer. Some notes of vanilla sneak in but mostly grain tastes here.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft @ Amesbury Ale House. Pint shows a clear yellow color with thin white head, no retention. Clean aroma of light grassy Saaz hops and honey. Flavor is lemon notes, a tad of honey, some strong Saaz hop bitterness in the finish. Light in body with weak lingering bitterness. Even with the “Imperial” Label, it’s still just a pilsner. If you really like the style, you should really enjoy this. Otherwise you may want to skip it.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured into 24 oz tulip from champagne bottle. Gorgeous golden color with thick head. Crisp Germanic flavors couple with a hearty alcohol overtone. Every bit a pilsner, but with the wallop of a big beer.
