3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear yellow with a big frothy white head. Great bright aroma with lemon, grass, slight bubblegum. Subtle sourness in the flavor, along with an interesting aftertaste involving bubblegum again. Very pleasant palate, well balanced all around. Great late summer beer, and I am continually impressed by Boulevard’s offerings.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow with two fingers of dense, lasting, pearly white head with small islands of lace. Nose of hay, grass honey. Sweet, too sweet for my palate. Lots of honey and hay, less grass taste. Not much bitterness, assertive carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle pours a clear pale straw color without much head. Mild hop flavors balance well against the maltiness. Great imperial pilsner.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Clear yellow golden body with a white head. Quite mild aroma of grain and a bit spicy. Flavor is quite pils’ish but a bit more malt and grassy hops. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. A big pilsner with a certain balance and not overdone in any way. Decent.

Nice and pilsnery-crisp up front with a bit more body than I anticipated. Quite enjoyable!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
750ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Small white head which settles quickly. Slightly hazy golden body. Aroma is quite sharp, malt dominated. Bitter at first, metallic aftertaste. Dry. I had high expectations for this one, so I guess I?m a little disappointed.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 750ml: Pale gold. Slight haze. Poor head. Malt and yeast driven. Certainly very German Munich profile. Complexed aroma. Not hop driven. Great profile. Just off fry. Moderate to low bitterness. Not sour. Long, rich, full bodied. Moderate to high carbonation. Excellent mouthfeel.
Wonderful American Pilsener. Fantastic nose and palate flavor as well as texture.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From bottle at Nærbøfestivalen 13. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of grainy malts and weak spicy and grassy hops. Taste is fresh grassy hops, moderate dry lingering finish. Doesn´t hit the sweet spot for me this imperial....

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 mL best before February 2014 from Little’s. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is definitely pilsner. It’s not extreme like Sam Adams imperial pils or Prima Pils. Just a smooth, robust nose of spicy hops, crackers, bread and grass. The alcohol is masked remarkably well. There isn’t tons of complexity here, but there is a very clean and balanced malt/hop combo. Silky malt sweetness, grassy, woody hop bite and a very dry finish. Quite crisp. This is a solid take on the style, but not on the level of Prima or even Copper Kettle’s pils which are significantly lower priced.
