The Smokestack Series never lets me down. The Sixth Glass was no exception. This quad is drop-dead sexy. The headiness is remarkable and it’s easy to spot some sediment in the brownish-red body. Fruity aromas and subtle yeast esters create a mouth-watering scent. The taste offers a hell of a lot of malt sweetness and complexity. Dark fruit flavors are what really stand out. Raisin, plum, prune, and cherry make a huge impression, but there’s also some additional sweetness from the toasted malts and syrupy grains. Both lively and soft, the perfect carbonation is an excellent match for the warm, boozy feel. The Sixth Glass might be the classiest way to end a long day.
