COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

I bought this bottle in the grain d’orges Crissier. I drank it relax at home with my wife. The body is a dark yellow and white foam. The carbonation is average. The taste is refreshing, easy to drink, hop giving grapefruits notes and malty maybe there is some wheat, well balanced.

12 oz bottle with a BB date of May 2016 served in a snifter. Cloudy light apricot-colored body topped by a durable head that leaves sheets of lacing. Aroma: Fruity and grassy elements stick out in a complex mix. Flavor: grapefruit hop notes, but mild bitterness with more tartness and some sweetness. Peppery, yeasty and hoppy finish. Feel: Medium+, soft carbonation in near medium body; semi-dry finish.

Exceptional beer. Light haze to a golden pour with lasting white head. Aroma is citrus and floral. Taste follows nose with a mild farmhouse funk and tang at the end. Mouthfeel is more belgian than anything. Noce.

Flesje. Troebel blonde kleur, mooie schuimige plakkerige kraag die blijft. Ruikt fruitig en maar licht boerderij. Smaakt vol, fruitig, licht boerderij. Lichtbitterzoet. Goed te drinken.

Erg lekker @boerke van de tap. Uiterlijk eb basispakket beetje als Duvel. Licht met veel schuim. Basis van Belgische gist met lekkere fruit en citrus smaken van de hop. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is bubblegum, tropical fruit, straw, banana and clove, funk, herbal, spice, not as funky as I like. Appearance is slightly dark, more of an amber golden, with an off white head. Taste is bready, funky, a touch of that Belgian yeast, so very smooth, funky, slight tart, slight tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, incredibly smooth and creamy with a straw and bitter aftertaste. Overall, this is a lot juicier than expected, but still quite enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 10/31/2016. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon zest, grapefruit, pear, pineapple, peach, orange peel, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon zest, grapefruit, pear, pineapple, peach, orange peel, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate yeast spiciness and floral/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon/orange zest, grapefruit, pear, pineapple, peach, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from carbonation and bitter/spiciness as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, fairly creamy/bready, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an incredible saison! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
