Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

nice Belgian spice aromatics of herb and a bit of alcohol. nice and flavorful true to tradition oddly (why couldn’t celis do that good down in Texas?) with a bit of power to....do whatever you would want to do with that. described as is above.

Lemony funky nose gives away some of what is to come next. A big earthy farmhouse ale that looks and tastes excellent. Lots of carbonation and an unfiltered view from the glass. There is a punchy brightness that makes this a perfect beer to accompany a meal, should you be so inclined. Hops hold up well amongst the bready elements.

Corked bottle from Haggen Grocery, Woodinville, WA; batch 714136-2, bb 02-2015
Hazy dark blond color with generous compact head. Nice spicy aroma, deep. Highly carbonated, off-dry, with good body strength, and smooth mouthfeel; soft malt flavor, with strong spicy yeast, and delicate fruity touch; correct bitterness; bitter orange peel; the alcohol warms the final, there is also a mild astringency.
Clean and well designed, excellent beer.

Grapefruity, citrusy farmhouse with smooth, creamy mouthfeel and slight alcoholic bite on the tart finish. Refreshing and uplifting.
