Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment thatís just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard itís fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Pours golden yellow, generous fluffy white head. Nose is crisp, slightly citric, wild yeast. Taste is hop-forward, lemon, bitter, followed by some white bread and yeast. Palate starts bitter, but smoothes out with some sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 355ml. Hazy yellow with a huge fluffy white head. Great view in the glass. Aroma of citrus peels, dry hops, fruits. The taste is full: the IPA bitterness is present but not full force. I can taste fruits, malts, etc. The alcohol warmness in the aftertaste is the most noticeable thing to mention.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2016 Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours cloudy golden with a big white head. The aroma features fresh fruitiness with a Belgian earthy touch; citrus fruits, apple, pear, yeasty spiciness. Taste is crisp, fairly dry and medium bitter. Hoppy and yeasty elements rise to the forefront with maltiness forming a solid basis. Flavours of apple, grain, orange, spices - a varied mix. The palate is medium-bodied and very smooth, low to average in carbonation. Crisp, refreshing and also fairly rich; quality saison, as expected.
