COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Draft at Palmer House Hotel in Chicago. Wheaty aroma with banana, clove, funk. Bracing spice palate with heavy white pepper and coriander. Some fruity notes of apricot and peach. Fruity Pebbles and citrusy hops on the finish. Great saison.

Aroma: Bready malt aromas with hints of dried fruit. Appearance: Clear straw with a white head that dissipates quickly but leaves a lot of lacing. Taste: Light sourness with a sweet follow through. Palate: Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation, dry spicy finish. Overall: Really complex and multi-layered beer. Very solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours medium straw color. Faint aromas of grapefruit and Orange peal. Taste of grapefruit and hop bitterness in a good way. Very nice ale.

Bottle at our hotel bar. Great saison starts with a great fruity nose. Some tropical fruit and yeasty notes. Palate is too aggressively carbonated but is tasty fruity with cloves. Dry finish.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a nice fruit and woods smell Appearance- A murky golden yellow color, with an enormous white head. Taste- I can taste some malt and spices. Palate- A heavy bodied brew with moderate carbonation and a nice dry finish. Overall- This is a really good beer. Boulevard has done a great job on this one.

Very much a farmhouse ale (which I like). Definite roots in Belgian style. It was really filling but that might be because I ate it with a sandwich.

Good peppery and spice. Sweet and heavy. Nothing light about this one. Decent and a great representation of saison.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with a thin head. Nose is mango and citrus with spicy Belgian yeast. Taste is tropical fruits, fruity esters, warming alcohol, white pepper and a medium smooth bitterness. High ABV. Great, full bodied Saison with a distinct hop profile.

Bottle sample from notes (tasted again on draft). Pours a hazy yellow/goldencolor with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have ccitrus fruits, pears, some herbal and floral notes, biscuity malt, grass, grapefruit, funk. Decent saison I would have again.
