Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment thatís just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard itís fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

75 cl bottle at home. Straw-yellow with a very yeasty & bready aroma; Farmhouse Ale is definitely the right name! Taste is light, with initial hints of bitterness and carbonation, followed by sweetness and then a long aftertaste of alcohol. Went incredibly well with Thai Chicken Soup, one of the best saisons Iíve had.

Aroma: light sweet bread and caramel malts, citrus fruits, medium yeast. Appearance: clear gold, medium, frothy, white head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: sweets continue, turning slightly bitter in the finish, yeast and citrus again. Overall: quite a nice Saison, very smooth palate. Bottle at CBR2015, Shoreditch.

Pours a brillant yellow color with a yeasty farm aroma. Taste is light, fruity, specifically grapefruit in flavor. A bubbly tickle to the beer which makes it easy drinking and hides the alcohol content well.

12 oz. bottle BB 07/2015. Pours hazy yellow with lots of white head. Nose is funky, herbal Belgian yeast with citrus hops. Taste is a similar mix of hops and funk. Frothy mouthfeel. Slightly tart, lemon, bitter hops, spice. Tasty stuff, goes down really easy..

A well made and well loved Saison. You can taste the skill that was put into brewing it.

Bottle. Golden orange cloudy appearance, fine suspended sediment. Aroma of apricot, spice... I could smell this beer all day. Taste is much more subtle than the aroma. Would prefer more sweetness and malt and less bitterness and crispness.

(Bottle) Wow, this is an excellent beer. The aroma is incredible. The only problem is itís too bitter; the bitterness makes it a little unbalanced. Still fantastic though!

Bottle pour into Goblet. Aroma is citrus and clove, obvious alcohol. Appearance is bright golden, nice 1 inch head that leaves even but short lived lacing. Hazy but not cloudy or silty. Flavors are grapefruit, slightly sweet and lightly bitter. Viscous texture but not to the extent of feeling oily. Finish is prolonged, a bit of hoppyness lingering then fading to alcohol with no burn. This is one of my favs.
