3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pours hazy straw gold with rich 4 finger head and champagne-like effervescence, head retention is phenomenal. Aroma is yeasty wheat, lemons, other citrus, and funk. Tastes like lemonade, spice, grapefruit, and has a slight sour finish. Very refreshing on a hot day like today! Body is medium, creamy, very fizzy, and with a long spicy sour finish. Overall, this is a delicious saison!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and served to a tulip with a hazed orange tone, decent, white, meringue-like head foam, and web-like cling to the lacing. The aroma was fresh fruitiness and citrus, as lemon and tangerine, spice, and a hint of yeast. The flavor added low but lingering hop bitterness, light sugary sweetness, and slight tartness. The carbonation was lively, and warming alcohol was present but subtle. The finale presented some dryness, with all notes holding their integrity even as the liquid warmed and slowly became scarce. Impressed!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. A hazy shade of yellow with a fleeting white head. Fruity hops, yeast and citrusy aromas. A mildly bitter lemon zest, yeast, grapefruit, and farm house florally hops. I picture this as a lazy summer afternoon session beer for a jaunt out to the country....

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: Draft at Flying Saucer - Little Rock, 6/30/11
Aroma: The aroma is fairly spicy, some yeast presence, and a fruity sweetness.
Appearance: It pours a hazy yellow color with a cloudy and creamy white head.
Flavor: The taste is Belgian yeast, grain, spice, and fruit, medium sweet, and lightly tart.
Palate: The body is medium, leaning toward the light side, somewhat smooth, slightly dry finish.
Overall, I thought this was a nice beer. I could drink this one regularly, as it is a fairly quaffable saison. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Well done, Boulevard!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
20110716 750ml bottle date BB 05.2011. Pale golden with tall, clingy white head. Aroma is citrusy with a good amount of Amarillo, lemon zest, cut lawn, and some green apple. Heavily carbonated, perhaps a little more than I expect or want as it is already quite dry and the eff leads to some feeling of astringency, and also makes me quite gassy. Taste is nicely balanced mix of fruit and grass hops, very light biscuit malts, lingering spice from yeast and alcohol. The astringency gets a bit tedious, and I wish I was sharing this bottle.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml brought back from KC by my wife. Clear 1st pour, bright yellow with a huge rocky white head. Aroma of pale malt, zesty/spicy yeast, sugar and some citrus and herbal hops. Flavor of sweet malt, spicy/earthy tart yeast and a very light hop bitterness. Light to medium body with active carbonation and a frothy, foamy mouth feel. Great Saison, a bit sweet for my palate but not overly spiced, which is nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
to be fair, after I started drinking it I saw the best by date was 3 mos prior... did seem possible skunkiness; thicker than a saison should be...
