COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Bottle. Pours a clear, golden body with a rocky, frothy white head. Spicy and floral nose with some pepper and citrus. Reminiscent of summer in the Bavarian countryside. Sweet cereal malt flavors - mainly Pilsener. Tart, tangy citrus also present along with some phenolic spicy notes. Light, crisp, dry body with a clean finish and lingering, floral aromatics. Tasty and refreshing!

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a very nice looking hazy yellow with soapy white head. Aroma is nice, hoppy, some farmhouse, some citrus. Flavor is very much the same with some vefry light maltiness and a citrus hoppy bitter. Mouth feel is light-medium body with fizzy carbonation. Overall, I really enjoyed this.

Sampled at SC Day. Vigorous golden pour, mild sediment, abundant carbonation. Mild notes of tart apple in the nose along with clean hops and yeast. Very fresh and ripe seeming, almost like its got a secret identity as a biere de garde. Full mouthfeel, carbonation almost a bit too much for me. Kind of anonymous sweet flavors play around, and there doesn’t seem to be much depth to the brew. A bit of spice and yeast, sure, but it didn’t come together for me.

A hazy orange color beer with a massive expanding head. The aroma was peppery & slightly fruity with yeast. The taste is a very peppery hop taste, some banana & more slight fruitiness.

From the bottle it poured bright and golden with loads of sticky egg-shell colored foam, holding on for a couple minutes. The nose contains definite piney hops, candied fruit and buttery caramel. That yeastiness does not disappoint. The flavor has potent hoppy acidity up front, quickly giving way to black pepper and alcohol balanced with mild syrupy sweetness. It’s full bodied for sure, finishes not-quite dry with almost an anise flavor. It’s DELICIOUS! Thanks BLVD for this Smokestack series!

Pours a hazy yellow with a large white head. The aroma is Belgian yeast, spices and some citrus. As the beer warms, you get some flowery aromas. The flavor is citrus - mainly lemons and oranges - as well as yeast, spices and flowers. Medium mouthfeel, low to medium carbonation and a very dry finish.

Hazy gold pour. Frothy egg shell colored head and light lacing. Aroma is piney hops & lemongrass. Creamy body. Flavor is spicy (clove & coriander), citrus zest and hops. Seems like the brett version might take away from the hops because this stuff is hoppier
