COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head. Taste citrusy. I thought was pretty good. I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a large fizzy white head that left a bit of sticky lace. The nose is crazy hoppy for a Saison, but I must say, I do like the hell out of it. Nice citrusy grapefruity hops grab the attention right away, Some nice pale malt and light yeastiness as well. The flavor is pretty hop forward, but they work really well with the yeastiness and the pale malt. Maybe not a typical Saison, but at least they messed with hops and not a bunch of spices. Nice lingering tropical fruit like note on the finish with minimal bitterness. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a lingering hoppy finish. Really nice beer.

Pours hazy golden, full off-white head. Nice aroma with citrus fruit and yeasty earthy aromas. Medium sweet taste, a little tart. Medium-light body, above average carbonation, dry and spice finish. Not usually a big saison guy as they are so hit or miss for me, but this one is solid.

Cloudy gold beer with a large creamy white head of foam that looks like bubble bath suds. Nose of slightly sour yeast with lemon, grains of paradise, and new mown grass. Wow, the flavor is both strong and subtle, if that even makes sense. It has pronounced citrus notes, not quite grapefruit, but certainly more lively than orange (pomelo?), which is then fortified with a dose of spice. Yet, despite all the flavors, it is not overwhelming and incredibly easy to sip. All backed by a bracing carbonation, this is a solid beer and one that you could drink all night and into the next.

Sample from bottle at the Cask Norway stand at Nærbø, Ølfestivalen 2013. Muddy yellow golden body with a white film leaving good lacing on the glass. Spicy, citrussy nose. Sweet, spicy, light acidic and light bitter flavors. Medium bodied and smooth. An overall refreshing feeling and pleasant experience.

4 pack best before May of 2014 purchased at the ostensibly crummy discount liquor store down the street from me. This is my second foray into Tank 7 and I am equally as pleased with it as the first taste I had. The appearance of the beer is hazy bright yellow with a tall white head. Aroma is tantilizing. It’s spicy, hoppy, peppery, citrusy, funky, dry. Great bouquet on it. The flavor is clean and complex. There are plenty of esters here, but it’s not too much. Loads of bright citrus notes combine with a peppery flavor and everything from flowers to cheese in between. The alcohol is perfectly hidden. Fantastic beer!

Tap at Flamingo Bowl in St. Louis. Stranger from out of town. Solid Belgium ale. Pine, orange rind, and pineapple. Hoping for an IPA when ordered. Oops. ---all in good suds.

Golden yellow looks with lasting head and lacing. Fresh aroma, citrus and spices with some yeast. Really tastes like summer! Citrus hops, spicy yeasty flavors combined makes this really refreshing beer. Medium bodied and crispy mouth feel. Awesome summer saison.
