Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Very hazy gold beer, good white head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Bitterish seltzer minerals vie with fresh bitter hops the impart a little fruit but mostly bitterness. Palate gets softer before the semi dry finish. Somehow it all works!

Cloudy gold color with big head and lacing with great retention. Can detect the yeast in the aroma with grapefruit and some spice also apparent. Has a little earthiness of a Saison. Yeast and light grain in taste with sweet citrus and mild spice. Slight tartness and a little bitterness also. Nice and light tasting and very drinkable. I was pleasantly surprised. Really liked it cold. Would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Found this at the Nugget, they had a bunch of this brewery Ive never seen before. Poured in to a tulip glass. Pours with a very thick champaign like head. AROMA IS GREAT, SLIGHTLY TART, citrusy. Flavour was similar. Didnt have then grainy flavour some saisons have. really a clean flavour. Palate is bubbly. light body and finishes abruptly with no lingering after taste. This is by far one of my favorite saisons and inspiration to brew my own.

Pours a golden yellow with a big foamy bright white head. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy with a little earthyness. Flavor is wonderful. Perfect balance of sweetness and citrusy hops. A little tart. I like this one a lot. On a different level than other boulevard I’ve had.

750ml bottle, best before 02/2013. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a soapy white head. Aroma is fruity with some citrusy notes, estery and banana-like yeast and some caramel. Taste has bready malt, slight spicy/herbal notes and citrusy fruit with a prominent, estery yeastiness tying it all together. Finish is dry and slightly bitter. Palate is sparkly, slightly sticky and full with medium to high carbonation. Not bad at all.

Aroma is of lemon, citrus and hops. Pours a pale golden color with a thick creamy white head. Lots of lacing. Taste sticks with the aroma with a hoppy taste, along with pine. Very balanced.

12 oz. bottle. Ar: A bit stuffy but some nice citrus notes come through up front. Lightly spicy banana as well. Ap: Pours a hazy straw-copper with a 2" frothy head atop my tulip. Nice lace. T: Fairly sweet up front with a spicy flavor. Finish is moderate citrus and quite nicely bittered with a touch of tartness. P: Comes off a bit syrupy to me, moderate carbonation and a bit of stickiness. O: Glad to find this one stashed away in the back of my fridge. Complex and delicious.
