COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

On tap. Pours straw yellow. Smells of BandAids. Tastes like it too. A little too funky for my taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I have always liked this beer, however sometime the strong grapefruit flavors are a bit much. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

very light and refreshing. Sneaks up on you a bit with the 8%abv. Light citrus nose, light body.

Pours golden yellow with a large white head. Smells fruity and citrus. Taste is wheat, citrus, spice and herbs. Nice flavor profile with good balance. Med carbonation. Fruity after taste with a touch of bitter. Very good stuff.

From bottler his beer pours a hazy golden yellow with a robust, but not long lasting white head. Lacing is apparent. The nose is a floral yeast fragrance with hints of citrus. The taste is citrus and spice with some notes of sweetness fading to a peppery/spicy pleasant aftertaste. It has s a crisp, dry, effervescent light body mouthfeel. Extremely refreshing on a hot afternoon in the shade. Would buy agin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had to really wrestle with the cork on this one to get it to pop. This has a nice straw aroma, with some very faint hop notes present. Pours a clear light yellow, with a huge white head. This is an interesting beer, there are grapefruit notes present, but without the standard bitterness. There’s a touch of fruit esters from the yeast, and a nice earthiness that’s present throughout. This is a solid Saison from an American brewery. If you’re a fan of the style, and are willing to try something a little different, I would recommend this one.

I have NEVER met a beer I couldn’t drink until now. This liquid garbage smells and tastes like moonshine poured into beer. 1 sip and I had to order something else. Best thing I can say is maybe it was a bad batch. Still, I’ll never try this again and now I’m wary of the next trial. THIS STUFF IS POISON!! I’M NOT KIDDING!!

Very spicy smell - lemony and yeasty as well. HUUUGE head that dissipates slowly and leaves a ton of lacing. Golden at the bottom. Medium-bodied - flavor doesn’t hit quickly, but when it does, there is big hit of bitterness/pepperiness and malt, along with sharp citrus. Hoppier than I was expecting (grapefruit Amarillo hops). 8% ABV is noticeable. Super dry on the finish!
