COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2011 Pours a hazy gold. Fizzy white head almosy an ipa aroma, aroma of citrus, grapefruit, smells like a fresh band aid too. Flavor very hoppy grass and straw. Grapefruit. Sweet up front and a sour bitter at finish Avg body dry finish like a saison should be . Strong alcohol on the finish. Ovverall an awesome beer and a terrific saison style . My brother needs to shave he is a slob.

Loved it. Went in expecting very little and was shocked by the result. Really dry flavorful saison with notes of citrus fruit and spices. What an easy to obtain great saison reminiscent of Helios by victory. You dont have to spend 12 dollars a bottle to get a great one.

Pours cloudy with modest head and good lacing. Smells a little funky (as it should) and maybe even sweet. Taste is smooth, maybe a little citrus, and true to the style. Carbonation is good, feels good in the mouth and finishes well. This a great beer that I will definitely enjoy again.

this is absolutely delicious, the benchmark of saison’s for me is Saison DuPont, but this is right there with it, with a little hoppiness in the back that really makes something special.

2011-11-19. Hazy dark yellow body with a small creamy off-white head. 3+ Modest aroma, lightly floral hop character. 7+ Flavour is similar, mild floral hops are lightly grass, sweet pale malt, very light lemon character. 7+ Smooth average bodied palate. Enjoyable. Bottle shared at Rudolf’s Sourfest 2011
