Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Awesome beer! I tend to like other Belgian styles more; so buying this came after their Quad and Tripple. I love all three, but this one surprised me the most. This seems like a Tripple/Saison hybrid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a straw-yellow with a white head. Aroma is yeast, bread, floral, faint spice and/or funk. I was really looking for a little more funk but didn't find it. Taste is sweet, yeast, banana, bread and floral. Finishes mostly dry and lingers a bit. It also had slightly more carbonation than I expected. Overall, it's a tasty brew and certainly one to try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.75 l bottle from Alko. Golden color. Firmly spicy aroma with clove, pepper and floral citrus peel. Strongly peppery and clovey taste with bright lemon, orange and tart fruitiness. Light to medium body with high carbonation. Nice citrus and spice balance.

750ml champagne bottle - shared by mjs - thanks
Nice fresh saisony aroma, crisp and uplifting. Almost wit-beer citrussy retronasals. Crisp palate. Biting noble hops in mouth and finish. wheaty sweet body comes over more over time. covers 8% well. Pale orange and hazy to cloudy depending on the pour. fits nicely in the belgian saison category, but a little more hopped than usual. Is a nice sipper.

750 ml bottle. BB 31/12/2013 from the Finnish importer. Courtesy of mjs. Cloudy golden colour with a small white head. The aroma is Belgian style yeast, spices, mild berries, subtle hoppy bitterness and grainy maltiness. The flavour is bitterish hops, Belgian yeast, mild spices, grainy malt and mild tartness. Quite true to Belgian Saison being an American Saison. Would have a glass again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle, 0.75 l - original dates hidden by Finnish importer, 20130406) The beer poured pale golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, sourness, mild cowhouse aromas and some spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, Belgian style yeast, sourness, cow house, spices, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Afteraste was fruity, hoppy and bitter. A good hoppy saison.

Bottle from supermarket. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, grass, floral hops, earthy notes, a bit of grapefruit and yeast. Nice mellow body. Dry bitter finish with citrus and grass. Very nice saison, but I was expecting more based on the reviews and comparing to actual belgian saisons.
