Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

I’d put this brew right up there with the Hill Farmstead Saisons. Grassy, grainy, herbal with citrus peel, lemon and a peppery spice. Slightest bit of funk really rounds this out & a clean dry finish. Excellent.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a three finger head that dissipates fairly slowly and leaves. Lively carbonation. Smells grass, belgian yeast, little funk, a tiny bit of lemon or lime, pepper. Taste starts with bright flavors of lemon and grass. Then is followed in the middle by the belgian yeast, some peppery spice, slight breadiness. Then the finish is more of the belgian yeast, some light funkiness, some light citrus notes like lemon and grapefruit, more spiciness, some slight floral notes, sweet breadiness from the malt. Creamy, refreshing mouthfeel. High medium body. This was supposed to be drank by January, which was two months ago. Still in pretty good shape with some hop qualities, but I’m sure it is far better beer fresh. Not too bad.

Clear golden pour with a large frothy white head with big sheets of lace. Aroma of slightly tart grainy wheat, moderate yeast funkiness and citrus hops with a touch of spice. Slightly sweet up front with lemon juice, grainy wheat, yeastiness with a solid citrus a spicy hop character to round out the finish. Nice bubbly body with good hop presence. Tasty stuff.

One of the best beers I have had. Great flavor, full of citrus. It is still light and easy to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is carbonated yeast and wheat. Yellow/gold color with a decent foam. Carbonated flavors of pilsner malts, coriander, wheat and yeast overtones. Fair alcohol on the finish. Overall, this is a well done saison style beer. Strong carbonation and nicely blended saison flavors. I’d give this an A rating.

A juicy, vivacious American Saison loaded with citrus, grass, white pepper, and hay...delicious

A softly hazed golden body supports a large, lasting, initially frothy white head which recreates its self as an exceptionally tight 2" cap following a few swirls leaving a broad spectrum of differently sized polka-dot lace all around
Big and bright, juicy pineapple and orange citrus notes balanced by white pepper, grass, hay, dusty barn, blue basil, and light biscuit on a silky, well carbonated medium light body with residuals echoing the flavors and aromas from a slick, well coated palate

Hazy golden orange body. Thick, rocky, voluptuous, beige-white head. Great retention and lacing. Nose of powdered sugar, tropical fruit, fresh grass, spices, and herbal hops. Nice. Herbal, grassy bitterness up front. Tropical fruit and sugary malt settle in. Papaya, pear, and fruit cocktail. Peppery, herbal bitterness increases into the finish. Banana and yeasty notes. Dry finish. Lingering fruit and peppery bitterness. Medium-full body.
