On tap at Monks, Sioux Falls, SD. Yellow, with an almost light green tint. Thin white head. Sweet doughy aroma, some true to style Belgian-like esters. Clean, smooth body, with some pleasant funkiness. Bready, with a slight lemon-pepper, herbal edge. Excellent.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy golden with lasting fine-bubbled white head. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, resin, sweet spice, and sugar. Taste is mildly sweet, moderately tart; flavors of citrus and resinous hops, fruity yeast character, giving way to a long dry, bitter finish with spicey character. Light body with prickly carbonation and sticky finish. Pretty tasty, though I canít help but wish the hop character was just a *touch* less prominent and there were a bit more of the yeast coming through.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at the Funky 6. Pours a clear, yellow-orange with a modest, white head. Aroma holds citrus hops, dry yeast and caramel malts. Fairly sweet flavor, fruity with orange, grapefruit and peach, and some lightly bready malts. Medium in body with fine to average carbonation. Gets nicely bitter on the finish, fairly dry, some lemon, wheat, light sugars and yeast. Great beer.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with an amazing, pillowy, large-grained head. Smells of grapefruit and lime Life-Savers (thatís a good smell), with just a touch of lavender. After waiting ten minutes for the head to subside (good lace, too), I finally managed to taste it; hoppy, dry, and spicy, but with an unpleasant undercurrent of latex/Band-Aid. Looks better than it drinks -- for my taste, itís a little overhopped for the style.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2011 750mL. A big step below Saison Brett. The pour is a hazy yellow with a healthy, off-white head that has excellent retention and good lace. Aroma is plasticy phenols, baby powder, sweet tea with lemon. Taste is sweet, fresh melons, candi sugar. Soft carbonation. Immensely sweet. Off for saison. 1/10/2011 5/4/6/4/12=3.1
750mL thanks to MrLo. The pour is a cloudy, bright, glowing yellow with a large white head but no retention really. Nose gives you fresh dough, kumquat, cantaloupe, orange sherbet. Taste is sweeter like Southampton saison with orange sherbet, sugary pineapple sorbet, and noticeable alcohol presence like a soft tripel. Reminds me of Midnight Sun Panty Peeler but with the mouthfeel of Southampton Saison Deluxe. Yummy. Definitely on the sweeter side. 7/22/2011 7/4/7/4/16=3.6

Draft at Westside local. Golden color with only a slight white head and lacing. Active carbonation. Flavor and aroma are spot on for a Belgian saison but also BOLD...like it was Americanized! Well done.

Big floral and citrus hop nose, cotton candy and honey dough malts and peppery yeast. Great so far... The taste is sadly a bit too sweet, the bitterness is far too light. Seems they mostly focused on finishing hops... Lot of citrus, honey and pepper/spice.
