COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Aroma was light, slight hop and spicy yeastyness. Color was pale yellow, clear. Flavor was hopped and sharp, accompanied by light carbonation, but mellows nicely. Does finish with a little bitter hoppiness. Very fun mix of hopped farmhouse pale beer. Had on tap at breckenridge ballpark pub on 7/21/12.

Drinking on tap at max’s baltimore. Straight forward wild yeast flavor. A lot of citrus with a moderate bitterness. Sweet finish.

I like it. Have not tried many farmhouse/saison ales to compare to but overall a pretty good beer.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a heavy coating of white head. The retention is excellent. Aroma is a sweat yeast, some spice, and a very mild lemon scent. Taste is spicy, mild citrus, and some sourness. Crisp with a dry finish.

Medium gold, light haze, fluffy white head. Aroma: biscuity malt, lemon peel, light grassy note, earthy spice. Flavor: dry crackerlike malt, spicy yeast character, citrusy hops, lingering bitterness and slightly peppery finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Max’s in Baltimore. Hazy muddy yellow pour with a white head. aroma is spicy yeast and some good citrus hop notes. Flavor is spicy, citrusy and pretty clean. Mouthfeel is a bit watery and there were some interesting odd flavors in there. Good beer.

Poured out of bottle into a wide flute beer glass. Lots of bubbles on the initial pour, quickly dissipating head with just the edge of the glass graced by the lace. Bright orange color, opaque. Smell: Floral hops and citrus.. mostly grapefruit. Pleasant and mellow. Taste: No real flavors coming through, though still very nice... maybe a little orange. The bitterness coming into play at the end, which is good. Soft texture, not quite creamy though. While not a powerhouse, it is very nice to drink. For me it fits both a summer and winter drink. It’s simple taste makes it refreshing for hot days, but the softness also makes it appealing to a cold night in front of the fireplace.

Hazy yellow/orange appearance. Aroma is of belgium yeast/fruit including banana. Flavor is exactly what a saison should be. Nice and fruity with some barnyard funk. Bitterness allows the malt characters to shine. Very well balanced. Finishes dry.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2012 Pours hazy amber with a nice thick frothy white head. Aroma and flavour: amazing! Strong notes of citrus, along with tropical fruits (mango), belgian yeast, and maybe slight spices. Very refrshing beer, highly drinkable. A saison can hardly get any better than this one!
