COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Moderately grainy bread malt body. Sweet fruit notes of peach and lemon. Notes of lime and soft grapefruit. Big yeasty character with a peppery spice layer.

On tap at Blue Moose on Olathe, KS. Hazy dark yellow, big white head . Strong yeasty, fruit, zest , lemon aroma. Strong taste alcohol, lots of zest, yeast and a ton of hops. Very refreshing! Dangerously drinkable at this percentage. Nice beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bomber, pour is light straw color, fizzy head that disappears rapidly. Nose is heavy grapefruit, Belgian yeast. Taste was citrus and mild spices. Mouth feel was light, fizzy and finished dry. Enjoyed this farmhouse ale.

Aroma: Smelling spicy, cloves, coriander, cardamom, vinegar, grape-fruit juice, some toffee and a metallic hint.
Appearance: A clouded dark straw colored brew, a white high head, little lacing but good curtains.
Taste: Starting with sweet fructose notes, oranges, grape-fruit peel and the aromatic spices.
Palate: Medium carbonation, foamy bubbles, a big body, a dry finish.
Overall: A very nice and modern old ale. Fabulous with a casserole.
Note: Big bottle at De Klomp sampling. Reviewed 2012-09-15.

Cloudy gold with a very robust pillowy head. Funky yeast and some citrus in the aroma, the taste is crisp and refreshing with the dry finish that you’d expect from a Saison. Very good offering in this category.

This is my third offering from the smokestack series, this one is so far my favorite. Refreshing, nice flavors of hay, wheat, apples, spices, yeast and some funk. A very nice semi-dry finish and no alcohol flavors to ruin anything. I was surprised by the pineapple in the aroma. That was a huge plus. I was looking for faults in this one, I couldn’t find any. I am a fan of Wits and Tripels, This one falls in between. Recommended!

Bottle: Poured a hazy orange with a huge fluffy creamy off white head. Aroma is light grassy and straw. Taste is sticky sweet fruit upfront with dry hops and spice finish.

This is a nice saison. Pours slightly yellow with a little head that laces nicely. Good aroma of grapefruit. Nice finish, but just a little too thick.
