3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle. Lightly hazy, with a medium-dark golden hue, the body lifts up a small, fleeting, off-white head. Quickly settling in as just a thin ring, the head gives virtually no lacing. The aroma is based in medium-dry cereal grain and mildly sweet bread dough. Soft floral hops are accompanied by hints of lemon and grapefruit, as a little alcohol burn starts to emerge. Though it is well balanced and appealing, the nose is just a hair sweeter than I truly care for. Still nice though. Flavors are nicely balanced and complex, showing a lightly caramelized bread dough malt base and hints of chiffon creaminess that are countered with semi-dry, fruity yeast and floral, citrusy hop bitterness. Substantial in body and smooth, with moderate to lively carbonation, the palate shows just a little alcohol burn on the back end. Overall, itís a pretty good saison, but the gravity just doesnít need to be this high. Back some malt sweetness off and this would be a stellar product.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Itís a lot like Urthel Hop-It in taste...kind of a confluence of a three-river Belgian tripel, a pilsner, and an imperial IPA. A lot going on here. Resiny, oily, fruity, bitter. Better than I expected.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours pale gold with a very tall, slightly chunky, off white head that has excellent retention and leaves nice sheets of lacing. Aroma is light dusty grain, tart lemon, lots of floral hops, citrus rind, and a touch of forest floor funk. Flavor is citrus rind, floral and citrus hops, hints of sweet grain, dusty straw, musty autumn leaves and lasting sweet grass. Palate is medium bodied with a creamy entry, light, spritzy carbonation and a dry, slightly boozy carbonation. Fantastic saison, I was disappointed that they stopped making their original saison, but this is just as good.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
tap at falling Rock. This beer blew me away. easily one of the best saisons I have ever tasted. Pours with a nice straw yellow hazy color. Aromas of spiced bread. The flavors are outstanding: wonderful yeastiness with cloves and orange peel and some pepperiness, offset by some noticeable hops character, perfectly balanced and very smooth.
