Draft. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma of earthy yeast, lemon and grapefruit, some fruit and spice. Flavor is earthy, lemon and orange, honey, coriander and pepper, with a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body, somewhat creamy mouthfeel. A wonderful saison.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
tap at falling Rock. This beer blew me away. easily one of the best saisons I have ever tasted. Pours with a nice straw yellow hazy color. Aromas of spiced bread. The flavors are outstanding: wonderful yeastiness with cloves and orange peel and some pepperiness, offset by some noticeable hops character, perfectly balanced and very smooth.

I had this from a corked & caged 750 ml bottle, courtesy of drffabulous.
This pours a hazy golden color with a very long lasting, frothy white head. The aroma is a tad musty, the flavor is thirst quenching, a touch spicy with some herbal and floral note. All in all, itís pretty tasty and quite drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 2, 2011 # 600 Pours a hazy light orange with a good sized white head. Aroma is grassy, spicy, touch of belgian yeast and some citrus. Taste is a nice touch of pepper with a little sweetness and lemon. Fairly thick mouthfeel that finishes a bit dryer with grapefruit bitterness. I guess the inperial saisons are in season, lol.

Nice and light with a bitter wheat lead. Mild citrus and bread. Could use a little more original spice blend.

Thanks to ridglens on this one, and all of the other Boulevards Smokestack series stuff. This is an extremely refreshing light citrusy brew, and for 8%, that is good stuff. Funky earthy with a sweet very light finish. I could drink this all day, and can imagine on tap it is even better. You need to pisk one of these up if your a saison fan.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ brewery tour: This one poured a slightly hazy golden color. There was a good sized white head on it that left some lacing. This one has a complex nose. Grassy, earthy, spicy, yeasty, floral, some lemon. It has an equally good taste. I like the little kick of bitterness in there. A bit of citrus and slight piny hops, earthiness, coriander, This is a very nice brew.

Bottled. Sticky frothy white head on top of a light clear orange. Light aroma, yeasty with toasted grain notes. A bit of sweet flavor, peach fruit backed with a little pepper and an earthy grapefruit hop character. Finishes dry. Nice brew.

A-pours a light golden yellow, slightly hazy with a pure white bubbly head.
S-very nice nose, lemon, earthy yeast aromas, touch of honey, grassy herbal hop presence with a light peppery spice in the back.
T-not as big as the nose but still nice, earthy saison funk up front, the lemon is behind with a touch of sweet honey, plenty of grassy herbal hops in the back and a light peppery spice to balance in the finish.
M-smooth and creamy, medium body, moderate to strong carbonation balances the nice mouthfeel with a good crisp finish.
D-this has all the nice flavors you want to see in a saison, the earthy funk is done just right with a good amount of sweetness and a nice herbal presence. the spice is a little light and the finish wasnít as dry as some of the top notch saisons, but very tasty and drinkable beer.
