Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment thatís just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard itís fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

The Farmhouse Ale has a golden appearance with substantial head. The aroma is very floral. As I sip, I also taste the malt. Thereís a balanced sourness to this beer, and the palate is pleasant. Itís a very good beer!

Best before August of 2013.
Appearance: The body is a clear gold with a tall and dense white head that has excellent retention. The head settles into a thin coating with a thin but creamy ring.
Aroma: The aroma is of sweet orange with hints of sweet malts and a doughy peppery dryness. Very nice.
Taste: Hints of orange and grapefruit are noted on the intro that run throughout over a slightly watery body, hints of peppery spice are noted by the finish, but the malts are a bit shy providing only hints of sweetness.
Palate: Medium bodied, kind of a watery feel, with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is a great saison, though I donít love it. The flavor is a bit thin at times, with hints of great. This is nearing the end of itís life cycle though, I wonder if itís better fresh.

Amazing brew! In the series that includes the Saison Brett and the Sixth Glass this fits most excellently! Itís like a great story like Star Wars Episodes 4 and 5! It has a foamy head, yet delicate. Malty notes with a bit of a herby swing to it. But not overpowering. The washdown is so smooth. Each glass brings you to itís creators vision. A masterpiece! Sublime. Understated. Complex. One of the yearís best brews!

A refreshing saison. Aroma of mild citrus in a very pleasant pour leads into well-balanced also citrus centers saison which tastes much lighter than the 8+ABV.

Outstanding fruity aroma draws you in to the golden pour w/ a white head that leaves some lacing. The taste isnít quite as good as the smell. Itís very clean & refreshing. Actually pretty darn good for the style!

Nice spicy saison with belgian yeast and hop aromas. Spice and yeast dominate the palate with a dry finish. Very Good

Pours hazy gold with a thick coarse head. Aroma of grass, bread, citrus, stone fruit, banana. Taste is bitter hops, sweet malt, black pepper, hint of alcohol. This is a solid saison, fortunately available where I live.

Light golden and slightly cloudy. Large fluffy white head. Aroma has something that reminds me of a saison, banana esters and some funky fruityness. Taste is mild malty with loads of fruity yeast-funk. Semi-dry finish, medium body and medium-high carbonation.
