COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Poured from a tap. Clear golden yellow color, nice white full head. Smells like fruit. Sweet Hops and fruit flavor.

A pale ale that tastes like a belgium beer. Really fruity and carbonated. Pours a golden yellow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great beer. I've had this numbers of times and love it and am a fan of the style. All the Smokestacks are good.

Tap pours unclear deep golden tone with a little white fizz. The aroma has some lemony light grapefruit with an earthy sweet Belgian highlight. The flavor has more of a Belgian funk with a robust grain presence, some nice balancing sweetness to go with the biting hops and carbonation. Some of that citrus comes thru the hops but there is a little pine and herbal variation that adds some depth but not really roundness. Sparkling carbonation lingers in the finish bringing it some sweetness with the Belgian funk throughout. Pretty solid brew.

Great saison. Pours a nice hazy golden. Aromas of soap and lemons. Flavours are refreshing. Citrus zest, Belgian yeast and a nice hoppy finish. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with a light sudsy head. Bright, citrus-hoppy aroma, backed by notes from the Belgian yeast. The flavor is also much more hop-driven than your average farmhouse ale, but very well-balanced. A lot of grapefruit notes, with some funky sourdough yeast flavors and apple and pine on the finish. Very complex, an impressive beer.

Not a big Belgian Ale fan, but I enjoyed this beer. Various fruit flavors along with hay and grass. Strong but not over powering.

Bottled. Pour hazy yellow. A good Farmhouse that has a hint of fruit and some tartness.

On tap at Burial Brewing in Asheville, this pours golden straw into the glass with a frothy whipped head that leaves chunky lace. The nose is of big, bold fruity aromas with a grapefruit push. Honey, melon and lemon essence to the tongue, with grains and hay. The finish is dry and peppery. Very complex, yet soft on the palate, this is a superb farmhouse ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
