COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Straw colored very clear pour. Thick sustaining white head. Citrusy hop and Belgian yeast aroma. I get a lot of clove and banana. Very light mouthfeel. Hops are more noticeable up front but finish is more yeast. ---Rated via iPhone

very well balanced. Grainy flavour and maltiness, without acidity. Lingering subtle bitterness.

Aroma is great, grapefruit hops and other tropical fruit (mango, starfruit , passion fruit) with a strong malt backbone. Cloudy pale orange appearance with a huge white head of large sticky bubbles. Not the best looking beer; maybe I need to just get used to the style. Tastes of sharp hops that are immediately taken away by a mix of tropical fruit flavor, sweet malt and yeast/funk that I find i other farmhouse ales that I have tried. A little bland for such a highly rated beer. Admittedly, I did not know much about saisons coming into this, but now I can tell they are definitely not my style. Give me an Imp. Sout, DIPA, or Barleywine any day.

Appearance: pours with a huge off white head that takes a while to pour down, the beer is a slightly hazy slightly darker than average gold color Aroma: light funk, light lemon, spice, clove, bread, yeast, very faint under that head but complex Taste: lemon, alcohol, relatively strong bitterness on the finish, Palate: bitter aftertaste, lively carbonation, medium mouthfeel Overall: this is pretty good, lots of lemon, bitterness, and alcohol come through, could use more funk ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cloudy straw color with a big bubbly egg shell color head. Light lacing left throughout. Had a mild tropical fruit, wheat, and floral aroma. Light/medium body that was smooth on the palate with a dry finish. Flavors of lemon, yeast, wheat, grapefruit, and spices. Very enjoyable and would be a good session brew.

Bottle semi-clear gold with a huge fluffy pillowy head. Aroma is banana, clove, and hay. The taste adds tropical fruit, orange zest, and spices, pepper on the finish. Clean mouthfeel, carb on the lower side, a little prickly, dry long finish. Very balanced, excellent portrayal of the style. I love this ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour. Hazy golden with a large white foamy head. Aroma is banana, yeast, wheat, and cloves. Medium body. Taste is hops, cloves, and light banana. Long lasting and dry (just like the commercial description says).

Poured from bottle into tulip glass a slightly hazy straw color. A quick lasting thin white head that receded to sides of glass and left a nice lace. Aroma is yeast, banana and a hint of clove. Taste is Belgium yeast, orange zest some banana and spice. Slight farmhouse funk and bitters in finish with the Orange growing in the sip and as it warms. Viscous and bubbly. Very well done, enjoyed.

Very clear bright yellow with mountains of pillowy head. Aroma is big, belgian funk and spice plus american citrus hop. Taste has peppery bite up front, with orange peel and bitterness, moving to a candied orange/cereal finish. Mouth fills with bubbles. Everything fits together really well. Good.

ARH (559) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 26, 2014
Poured from 12oz bottle into a shaker. The aroma is a bright, sweet tropical fruit and citrus note along with a bit of candy sugar. It pours a murky orange yellow with a big, white creamy, rocky, uneven head that retains quite well and leaves lots of sudsy lace. The taste is a medium high, fruit sweet with a medium bitterness. The viscous beer has a slippery, soapy carbonation to it. The full body contains flavors of bread, spice, and tropical fruit. The finish is peppery, clean, and crisp with a slightly burnt, bread crust aftertaste.

Clear golden color, one finger white head. Aroma is floral, wheat, grass, citrus, hop and some pine possibly spice. Taste is pretty Belgian witty. Floral and pine hoppy, yeast, some spice and definitely citrus. Pretty good. Lots of centric notes. Hard to decipher this from a wit bier.
