COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Hazy straw yellow in color with a big ’ol foamity foam foam. Yeasty, peppery and tad citrus like. A very well made saison but for some reason, the more I drink it, the less appealing it is to me.

Draft. Hazy orange with thin off white head. Aroma of citrus (orange) and yeasty Belgian notes. Light body, citrus, grain, some hop bitterness with a dry finish.

The pour is a golden orange yellow with a little glowy haze. Titanic off-white head that lasts forever. Sharp yeast-dominated aroma of bananas along with some citrus hop. The hops come forward stronger in the flavor, bitterness balances well against the savory yeast profile of the saison. Some fun citrus hop flavors too. Perfect mouthfeel, thick yet smooth with subdued and creamy carbonation. The aftertaste is bready alcohol. Great American-style saison, especially now taht it’s in 12 oz’ers.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Hoppy & spicy, tropical fruit, citrus, lightly phenolic, well integrated alcohol. Smooth bitterness. Good stuff indeed!

Vigorous and robust head and pale straw color. Hoppy aroma and spice, also grains. Rich complex flavor is well balanced. Great warmth and dry finish. Great drinkability especially for its strength! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rich, luxurious golden color. Pours a frothy head. Bursting with flavor of a rich fruit, nice hop punch and golden straw/wheat malt. Finish is an exquisite peppercorn that lingers for a while.

Clear light yellow to golden pour with one finger of frothy white head. Aroma is tantalizing with notes of yeast, hay, a bit spice and fruit tart. Taste is everything you could want with a balanced medium heavy sweetness and a long lasting spicy finish. Great beer!

My Bottom Line:
This wondrous Saison lays out bubblegum esters, floral hops, bready yeast, straw-like cereals and supple honeyed residual sugars in a tightly woven, superbly drinkable and amazingly authentic example. Wow.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sturdy head of foam covers the misty straw blond.
-Subtle herbal hops lace the finish.
-The perfect bottle conditioning job adds to the amazing flavor experience.
-There is no sign of the alcohol whatsoever. This drinks like a 6% brew...
-Balance exists throughout.

Bottle.
