COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a three finger head that dissipates fairly slowly and leaves. Lively carbonation. Smells grass, belgian yeast, little funk, a tiny bit of lemon or lime, pepper. Taste starts with bright flavors of lemon and grass. Then is followed in the middle by the belgian yeast, some peppery spice, slight breadiness. Then the finish is more of the belgian yeast, some light funkiness, some light citrus notes like lemon and grapefruit, more spiciness, some slight floral notes, sweet breadiness from the malt. Creamy, refreshing mouthfeel. High medium body. This was supposed to be drank by January, which was two months ago. Still in pretty good shape with some hop qualities, but I’m sure it is far better beer fresh. Not too bad.

Good one. Pale yellow with a creamy white head and lively carbonation. Nice balance in the fruit flavors and resinous bitter hops. It has a full flavor and still the alcohol is well hidden. Maybe a bit too rich for a saison but tasty none the less. Very Belgian with American hop caracter. I like it.

(draught) slightly opalescent golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of cactus juice and yeast, with some notes of talcum powder, wheat, floral hops and a touch of plastic. flavour is mostly the same, heavy cactus juice and kiwi, with big notes of popcorn, some ethanolic herb extract, raisins and a medium-bitter finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.

355 ml, bottle conditioned. At last, I was given the oppurtunity to taste a bottle of this iconic beer. Hazy, golden amber, lots of sediments, medium white head, some carbonation. Aroma notes are, not a big surprise, mainly those from the yeast, fruity banana esters up front. Mouthfeel is medium and dry, bitter at the back and pleasantly carbonated. Yeast is coming through in the taste as well, but is nicely balanced out with its beautiful, malty backbone. The 8,5% ABV is hiding itself, no alcohol flavour at all, be very careful not to have too many of these!! It’s just THAT drinkable and refreshing.

Tons of carbonation. Aroma of Belgium yeast and funky fruit. Taste is pleasant and smooth, citrus and farmhouse notes abound. Nice beer but not my go to style so maybe try again on a hot summer day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a golden cloudy yellow with fizzy head. Aromas of fruity, funky, horsey goodness. Flavors of barnyard, grass, yeast, and citrus hops.

Goudgeel licht troebel....volle witte schuimkraag met grote bellen...even rustig schenken dus. Allemaal prima in balans! Hij drinkt later echt makkelijk weg voor 8,5%. Redelijk body...romig.

Finale gigantesque. CONCLUSION : oh Missouri, what a mystery ..

Higher ABV and more hops than most of my favorite Saisons. Belgium yeast had little impact. Enjoyable drink however.
