COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment thatís just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard itís fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Perfect beer in this style. Great summer brew. Perfectly balanced wheat and grass undertones with some mild citrus on the nose. A really great beer.

12 oz. bottle BB 07/2015. Pours hazy yellow with lots of white head. Nose is funky, herbal Belgian yeast with citrus hops. Taste is a similar mix of hops and funk. Frothy mouthfeel. Slightly tart, lemon, bitter hops, spice. Tasty stuff, goes down really easy..

A well made and well loved Saison. You can taste the skill that was put into brewing it.

Bottle. Golden orange cloudy appearance, fine suspended sediment. Aroma of apricot, spice... I could smell this beer all day. Taste is much more subtle than the aroma. Would prefer more sweetness and malt and less bitterness and crispness.

(Bottle) Wow, this is an excellent beer. The aroma is incredible. The only problem is itís too bitter; the bitterness makes it a little unbalanced. Still fantastic though!

Bottle pour into Goblet. Aroma is citrus and clove, obvious alcohol. Appearance is bright golden, nice 1 inch head that leaves even but short lived lacing. Hazy but not cloudy or silty. Flavors are grapefruit, slightly sweet and lightly bitter. Viscous texture but not to the extent of feeling oily. Finish is prolonged, a bit of hoppyness lingering then fading to alcohol with no burn. This is one of my favs.

From a 12 oz bottle with best by date 07/02/15. Pours a golden/straw color with lively carbonation and three finger, soapy head. Nose explodes with pineapple, some spice, maybe earthy quality. Taste is much more bitter than I was expecting, but still great. Spicy, very light in the mouth from the carbonation, more fruity flavors from the yeast. In my mind, the best standard american farmhouse ale. Just solid.

Lastning off white head. Clowdy golden color beer. Nice yeasty aroma with a tuch of pale maltiness. Fresh and balanced taste with a low bitterness and medium body.

Totally righteous american Saison. True story. I asked my distant younger brother ounce if he liked any crafts and he expressed a fondness for Blvdís tank 7. I made a comment about it being one of this countries best saisons and he promptly corrected me that it was not a saison, it was a farmhouse ale. I tried to tell him that a saison and a farmhouse ale were one and the same, but he could not grasp it. In his eyes I was full of shit and he hated me for correcting him.

Nice sweeter saison. Dark effervescent gold. Excellent lacing. Clove, pear, wheat in the aroma. Taste strikes me has heavy pear and pepper but nice barnyard and Belgian finish. Fruity throughout. Good light saison body. Fine stuff.
