COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment thatís just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard itís fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

One of my favorite regulars. Pours with thick creamy head, nice lacing, nose of spiced Orange sweet rolls, with alcohol. Taste citrus, spice, bananna esters, grassy hops with a nice malt/slight acid finish to chew on. Nice carbonation. Well balanced for this style. Not overly spiced like a lot of other saisons Iíve tried. Arguably, the best mistake that boulevard has made

Aroma: Ointment; lemon peel; light wildflowers; light grapefruit. Appearance: Cloudy light gold with healthy streams of carbonation; a frothy white cap that sustains very well. Flavor: Ointment throughout; very lemony; rosemary; dried grapefruit toward the finish. Complex. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, lingering finish. Overall: Delightful beer; would be happy to have a few more bottles of this.

Hazy golden pour with a huge frothy and rocky head with lots of sticky lacing .... Aroma of citrusy lemons, straw, some funk, spices and fruity yeast ..... Taste is of spicy and bitter citrusy hops, lemony and rindy with straw, some funk and a fruity yeast .... Has a nice bitter spicy bite to it and a very lively bite on the tongue .... Finishes with a dry bitter hop bite that lingers for a bit .... Solid saison

Pours hazy pale yellow with a huge white head. Nose of lemon and oranges. Tastes slightly sweet, bready, citrus, lightly malty. Well balanced. Iím not getting much funk or barnyard flavors. Finishes with a mild lingering bitterness.

Sampled on draught at the Marriott at the Anaheim Convention Centre. Light amber colour with a good, healthy head. Wonderful funky aromas with plenty of citrus flavours. Good malty mouthfeel with excellent lemon and grapefruit notes and with some spicy, peppery flavours coming through too. Earthy, farmyard notes as well. A really good American take on the Saison style.

This is just a delicious beer. So much going on itís awesome. Aroma is sweet, bready with nice belgian yeast. Zesty and citrus. Taste is just out of this world good. You get that barnyard wet hay funkiness with a nice spicy, almost lemon tartness followed by the sweetness from the belgian yeast. Just a really awesome example of the style, I could drink this all day.

Batch #714212-2. Aroma of citrus with notes of earth and biscuit, maybe a touch of black pepper. Medium body, mildly oily with a dry finish. A touch fuller in the body than expected. Flavors of citrus peel and a touch of honey-like sweetness. Stereotypical earthy note lies underneath, lingering in the finish. A spice note, maybe coriander, is mixed in as well. A very nice farmhouse ale.

Bottle pour into a tulip glass, cloudy golden, well-carbonated. Yeasty citrus and grapefruit aroma, bitter with a dry finish balanced by yeast overtones. Delicious, thinking January in Northeast US is poor timing. Canít wait to have this poolside on a hot afternoon after a workout. Refreshing anytime though.

Bottle. Hazy light amber color with a huge pillowy head that fades very slowly and leaves chunky lacing. Big yeasty aroma with black pepper, lemongrass, grapefruit, pineapple, bubblegum, and dank grass. Tastes very yeasty too. Huge bubblegum, black pepper, and light banana from the yeast. Some citrus and bread later. A honey-like sweetness seems to coat everything too. Big foamy carbonation in the mouthfeel. Pretty cool beer but too much Belgian yeast for me to love it.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy honey gold color. Big rocky white head. Earthy yeast nose reminiscent of lemon peel and clarified butter. First sip yields tropical fruit and citrusy hops. Mid taste brings a dry, bitter and complex juicy hop character with funky overtones. Quite tasty.
